You have great patience, motoandnutty! It would not have occurred to me to message her like that because it just looked like a bored kid messing around.

I would be more than happy to interact with someone who doesn't write English very well - I think anyone here would be fine with that.

I would love for her to participate in the threads that interest her and I am sure that everyone would be kind about any mis-steps with the language. English is very difficult to learn, especially written English.

I spoke Italian fluently when we lived there, but that was fifteen years ago and I have lost most of it. But, Italians have always been very patient with my attempts to communicate and I think that's sort of universal, isn't it? Nobody catches any flak for not knowing the right words.

I hope she'll participate and enjoy herself.
