Default Just Finished ME Christaining Gown Set

Check out my new album showing the Christening gown set (Gown, booties, bonnet & slip) made for my cousins first grand child. All the swiss embroideries were made by machine! It took forever because it was all scalloped edged. I am very proud of it and hope you will take a look.

Wow. You made an heirloom royalty would cherish - it's supremely beautiful ! I love the entredeaux - that's a skill I've not learned, along with scallops.

I'd be very proud of that too - I'd need to study and trial for months to do that. And it looks balanced and doesn't overpower the baby, something you see a lot in christening gowns. Very elegant !

Dorrie, who also likes the doll modeling !

You are definitely a Queen of machine embroidery boblynn55!
I am practically speechless after viewing your labor of love! I know it must have taken forever to get it all finished, but there's no disputing that it was worth it. (The set is an Heirloom without a doubt!)
Will you share where you got the design set from? (I'm not sure I would ever have the patients but I'm nosey!)
      It is BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you all for your kind words. They mean alot to me coming from other embroiders and seamstresses. I didn't put the design source because I didn't know if I was allowed. If it is o.k. I will be glad to share that information.

      Default Design Source

The designs comes from Kathy Harrison of Custom Keepsakes: www.customkeepsakes.com I used both the Set one and Set two of her Christening sets. If I could have bought just one set, I would choose set two. Set two has the booties, bonnets, and slip. Set one is just dress designs. There are so many combinations of designs you won't believe it. My next Christening gown will be for my Newphew and his wife. It has shamrocks, and celtic designs on it.

Kathy is an amazing digitizer. She has done one of the continuous designs for Viking. I think she is actually the creator of the concept. I met her at the Martha Pullen School a number of years ago. I bought her first designs for making trims and beautiful details. I haven't used it yet. Now that I have used the Christening gown I don't think I will be as shy about it.

[ I love the entredeaux - that's a skill I've not learned, along with scallops.

I did not create the entredeaux -- That was purchased and attached to the french laces. I did use the new surger technique for connecting the laces to the entredeaux. It was easy.
