Do we keep two blocks at home for "ourselves" - or will you send two of them back to us?

I sent ALL the blocks last time; this way you send 44 and get 44 back. Otherwise I am afraid I would mess up the count and my pea little brain

I'M DONE!!!! I got my quilt FINISHED from the last swap yesturday. DH laughed at me because I made a BIG production of carrying it through our home to the bed room, lovingly laid it on the bed, tore my clothes off and leaped into bed and covered up! I told him he could lay down too but he went to watch tv! I cuddled, snuggled and woke up 2 hours later!! I am so pleased with my silly self over this!

TNdemin: I am putting my quilt on the motor home bed to show it off!

      Default Quilt blocks are mailed

I mailed the quilt blocks today but forgot to let you know that these Louisiana ones are from stripe. Sorry. Hope they are satisfactory. Tried to be fancy, but that was not working for me, so the majority are simple, I did embro. on a few.

Congratulations on finishing your quilt, Deborah! Did you post pictures, yet?

I'm pea green over the shop hop - how fun! Please take pictures and let us hear about your adventures - I'm living vicariously, these days.

I haven't started my blocks yet (ack!!!!) but I did buy the fabric. I'm betting that at least one other person buys the same fabric - maybe even two or three of us.

I have 22 made! Have been so busy and then my ME machine died and went to the big repair place in TN! Hope it comes back next week.

DH is out there in the dark with a long handled scrub brush washing the motor home!! She was in the shop for over six months! Her fridge died and we bought one out of a wrecked motor home (bigger and nicer), then the air line had an evil leak which took months to replace because of the rains, then the engine battery would not hold a charge. We got her back today and went start to the shop in town for a new battery; $175.00!! They only last about 2 years because the majority of motor homes are not driven enough to keep them from loosing a cell . But she is clean and vacummed and waiting for me to fuel her in the morning when I head out!

Sure wish all of you could come with us! One huge PJ party!

I am very excited that your's are on the way! I have plain, quilted only, some ME. I worried myself stupid last time! I promise you that there was a wonderful mix last time and I am positive that there will be this time too.

When I put the awning out on my motor home tomorrow I will pin my quilt to it so I can take pictures!

Ladies - I have new batteries in my camera and a set of spares! We will be taking a tom of pics!!! Yep four ladies driving from shop to shop to shop!!! I know ya;ll would love to be with us - and I know you will be in spirit!!! I am sooo excited about this!!

Can you imagine visiting 12 quilt shops in three days. Think of all the fabric that is there!!! And all the quilt patterns!!!!

I've seen some of the fabrics in this quilt for the shop hop and I'm already in love with a few of them!!! I can't wait to see how the differnt shops completed the quilt. Imagine 12 versions of the same blocks!

I know the 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 name blocks are optional, but before I do them, I am curious as to how many actually want them. So, just as an informal poll, does anyone plan to use them?

The ID blocks are great. I saw Deborah's quilt from the last swap and she's sewn them onto the blocks. It's wonderful to know who they are from. and years from now - It's be great to have it on the quilt. Especially when you havea memory like mine - lol.

I'd like to see them with the blocks.

I plan to use them. You could sign the individual blocks, but the separate labels give the quilt-maker some flexibility - the labels can go on the back or the front of the quilt, or the labels can be pieced onto special signature blocks in between the design blocks.

Your memory and mine might be twins, tndenim.

I don't think that's fair if she hands them to you. I've been done for a month now and asked where to send them and was told to wait until Oct 1st to mail them in. When will we be given the address to send ours in? I was trying to be the first one with blocks in that's why I was done last month.

I did not want to receive packages too early in case we got anyone else before closing out the exchange a week or so ago. I am sorry if anyone was upset or offended; that was not my intention.

On the good note I have received blocks from 2 people so far! I am not a good girl like Elizabeth, I peeked! WOW!

Here is the plan: to post 4-5 pictures from each group of blocks. I know from talking to others that some are just quilted, some have embroidery and so on. That is the beauty of the block swap! None are the same as the others.

Having just been to my 1st Quilt Shop Hop I know that all the blocks were the same but those quilts were all put together 100% differently. I was amazed that they went to plain to WOW! There were a couple that I did not like but that is personal taste too. Wish we could have had more people from this group there, maybe some day.

Yes I will use them to sew into my blocks too. I have a terrible memory lately an always want to know who made each and everyone I recieve.

Sorry ladies I have been absent in posting lately but I have had my youngest youngest son who just moved back home; after a terrible break-up. So I haven't even got my blocks done yet but hope to finish them this week.
So very jealous over your trip this weekend girls wish I could of shop-hopped with you. Looking forward to all the pics. Please let us know where the pics are located by giving us a link here.

Default Spring 2009 block swap quilt

I had my 'holders' Brittany and Andrea hold OUR quilt from the deck! This is my 1st official quilt, I will practice different quilting designs for the next time.

After I used the cinnamon strips I used a floral print for the back (the fabric was on sale )
