Love the Christmas blocks - I can't wait to see which ones I get - lol. and I love the other quilt top. So fallish! The colors - the golds and browns - I love those. Makes me want a nice cold night so I can slip under it - lol.

Absolutely love the quilt tops!! Yea, Tndenium was right, we have finished our shop hop. It is amazing that 6 different shops put the same pattern together totally different. Makes it much harder to decided how to put mine together. Thanks Tndenium for the great time and for tolerating the crazy time today. Can't wait to drive you nuts some more in Sept. lol
Deb, they are great! You took a lot of trouble piecing and embroidering all those beautiful blocks....
I also made a bunch of different blocks. Wasn't it fun?
Klarina the part that I loved the most was that I can try different quilt block designs WITHOUT committing to an entire quilt top in case the design it too much or too hard. I can stand most anything once but... For that reason it is really fun to experiment with different types and style and then I can embroider if I want or leave it alone. this is the most fun I have had in a long time; just playing![]()

Deborah, both quilts are beautiful. I have gotten a couple of the patterns from Walmart, but I prefer quilts that are more "Scrappy" in both colors and designs. Thanks for sharing your pictures. You did a wonderful job! Dreama
They are beautiful! You are inspiring me to get on mine! Joyce
Well I have been a quilting fool today. I got all the pieces for my blocks cut today and I've got almost all my little squares sewn together. Then comes the fun job of sewing all thiose little square together in the right pattern. and that is always the part that makes me crazy - lol. I alwasy get the pattern messed up. Oh well - I'll have them done and all ready to mail by the end of Labor Day weekend. I know me - I'm gonna give myself a few more days - lol!!
Have been looking at this thread and you ladies have made some very pretty blocks.
I have decided that quilting is the best form of therapy anyone can have. lol
To think that I WASTED so many years because I thought it was pointless to "chop perfectly good fabric up into tiny pieces only to sew it back together!!". Now I love quilting and have spent many enjoyable hours doing it.
Would you believe that I just started quilting in March 2009!!! All because of a DBS request for quilt blocks for Tracey's Angel Quilt! Face it, you can only sew and embroider so many things for your family before you have to find things to buy or to make to feed the addiction! This has given me a whole new avenue to explore and love! My kids love the quilts, my friends are amazed (me too!) and I have a whole new customer base.
Ok, I'm off to feed my addiction! Have a customer who reqested three single bed quilts at $150 each. I have two tops done and am starting the 3rd on right now. Fairy's, monkey's and now butterflies. The other customer wants a plain full size (quilt only, no embroidery). God doesn't make my love for sewing any better than this!

NAture chick and I decided to start our holiday weekend by visiting a quilt shop looking for some cool fabrics. Can't think of mbetter therapy then that - lol. To bad we came home and started working after that. But we are still chilled!
Always good tndenium to shop, especially for quilting material. Looking forward to Monday when we will work on our blocks at your house. Hopefully we will finish them up and can start another project.

To bad you can't jump in the old motor home and join us on the 19th of this month. We got another quilt shop hop coming up. There will be 12 shops this time all over the middle TN area. So far we got 4 of us going. Don't know if we'd get all 12 shops in in one day considering the distance and the fact that a few close at 2PM on Saturdays. But we'd get as many as we could. And do the rest the following weekends. Of course you could stay and do on a Monday - lol. I got to work but perhaps the other ladies wouldn't. Sigh! Got to work so I can play - lol.
And we'd love to have you along with us. And it would be such fun to get a bunch of us together and spend the day quilting!!
I stopped by to se my aun yesterday - the one who is almost blind and she was ready for me to set up my quilting frame and put a quilt on it so we could all sit around it and quilt it and have us a wonderful hen party!!! She was a it upset she could not see well enough to do that. But I'd bring her out anyway to join us in the hen party. She love to go with us on the shop hop - but her health would not permit it. she would have a blast!

It'll be a blast. We are starting at the shop in Murfreesboro, TN. The more the merrier. I warn you though -- we are a wild and crazy bunch and will probabvly make you laugh so hard you'll be hurting by the end of the day!!
Come on over Teddy, like tndenium said, the more the merrier. Who knows you can come and see how it is done and maybe get it started in your area and then we can come over to you town and shop hop with you there. Just an idea.
