I know a lady that wants to join. I was able to get her through the registration process but that was all. Can someone tell me how to get her the rest of the way so she can join the quilt block swap?

      Default number of blocks

So how many blocks are we to do again? If my friend joins then we are what 22? Just want to make sure I am cutting enough.

I have 44 all cut out and have started sewing this weekend. I just want to make sure that is the amount we are supposed to be making. When this started it was 2 blocks for every person then it was suggested only 1 block per person. However we never got the final amount. I hope it is still 2 per person or I've wasted a lot of material. Please advise. Thanks

I am sorry but I guess I've missed something. I haven't been in this forum for a week or so. Last time I was here and registered all I was told was Christmas fabric. I didn't realize it has changed to religious and no Santa. I have some religious, some that are just pretty and some cute to funny. To me Jesus is the reason for the Season but the blocks I'm sending only reflects that in a few blocks out of 44. I was trying to collect 44 different fabrics but couldn't some of them are duplicates and triplicates. They are all the same pattern, the star that showed the way to the birth of Jesus. I'm going to finish them and send them in. If you want to use them fine if not send them back. When you start a swap it is not good to change things in the middle after people have purchased fabric and have started making them. You also were going to change the number from 44 to 22 but I haven't seen anything about it. I've cut out 44 and have made many of them already. Please let me know if that has changed also.

Paper piecing is very easy once you have done one block you will love it. Your points are always perfect and the piece always turns out the size you need it to be.

It is great that the swap is growing but we need to stop at a certain point because we will not know how many blocks to make. Say cut off time for joining is Sept 1 that way we have a month in case we have to make more than the 44 we are making at this point.. I think it's 44 unless we have more than 22 already and I don't know about it.

WOW! Really busy people out there Glad things are coming along so well for all.

We are STILL at 2 BLOCKS EACH = 42 for now.

The theme is WINTER which can be with Santa, no Santa, Star of David, happy, silly, traditional. The colors are up to you as is the style in keeping with all things WINTER.

I even have some silly holiday cartoon fabric that I am looking to use for a few blocks.

So keep on doing those wonderful, fun things that you do to create those works of art because October 31 will sneak up quicker than we want it too!

Oh, an I am NOT embroidering all of my blocks either; the fabric is embellishment enough in a few cases

It hasnt changed hun it is called winter theme which can be religeous or not. That means anything that this time of year means to you as long as the blocks are 12.5 and has at least one Christmas fabric in them. The original name was Christmas swap but that wasnt good for some people so we changed it months ago to winter theme. Sorry for the confusion. Your blocks will be perfect.

Well Quilt buddies - NatureChick and I had some fun yesterday and today. We got our passport at a local quilt shop and then spend the day visitng some other shops around middle TN getting our passports stamped and picking up blocks for this cool quilt. Each shop has made up the quilt in a different way using the same 12 blocks. And of course - all of them have been done so well!!! We made it to three different shops yesterday - 2 closed to early on us. And we made it to a fourth today. Next Saturday we will hit the last two shops and complete our tour.

This has been so much fun. I had no idea there were that many shops in these out of the way places here in Middle TN. And the beautiful quilts we saw in all the shops - and the fabrics!!!!! I can't wait to do this again. No I just need to sit down and sew - sew and sew!!!!

They are doing this passport thing again next month - onlyu it is 12 shops instead of 6. I can't wait to get started on that round too!!!!

      Default Quilt passport

Tndenium and I indeed had a good time. The company was excellent. All of the different quilts we saw made me want to go home and make each and everyone of them and the people at the shops felt like friends from the time we entered. Hopefully this will be a tradition that Tndenium and I will continue on for years. Hear that Tndenium keep the truck running.!!
