Wow those are gorgeous Klarina!
Klarina - those are nice blocks!!! Very inspiring!!! I got my fabric Friday and I can't wait to get going. But sis has a list of chores she says we "MUST" do this weekend. I knew I wouldn't get to sew - lol. Oh well one must do chores in order to live. - huh- sigh.
Wow those are gorgeous Klarina!
Bre, I got on the mail the magnetic thingy. Thank you very much. It worked like a charm. I'm getting beautifully even .25" seams and I'm grinning like a loon. I'm so happy I would like to send you a block in appreciation. I'll make one and send it to you as soon as I have it done.
Klarina
I am so happy you got it and it's working so well for you.I know it worked for me for the little I used it before I got my new Janome with the 1/4" foot on it. I am so glad you could use it. If you would like to send me a block I would love it, but it is not neccessary at all.
You sure have made some very beautiful blocks, WOW I love them especially the coffee mug, it's my favorite. It will be even easier to make the blocks now with the magnetic thingie. Good luck
Happy quilting all

Wow, I am impressed....I hope you like mine..I will not photo them until I ship and then I will post after the exchange.Do we still have 18 people in the swap? I have mine done(do to slow time for me right now) so I can get more work done when it comes in. I like to be ahead of the game. God Bless you all and You are so talented.

I have only made 3 blocks so far. Trying to learn and do different things. Will probably end up will lots of different styles before I am done BUT think of all the fun techniques to be learned from all of this experimenting!

Thank you and thanks everyone for their super nice comments. I was feeling like a rookie but with such great response to my blocks, I'll start considering myself a "veteran". LOL.
Teddy_rn: do please post your blocks. I would love to see what others are doing.
Sue: don't wait until the swap is done... post some photos here.
Elizabeth: you should be proud of yourself. All this started with your swap... I think you have created here a fabric-buyer, piece-maker, block-quilting, sleep-deprived monster... LOL

The blocks are beautiful. My plan is to do 2 different blocks and do them over and over again. I too am doing applique and have enough cut for current group members. I'm wanting to get started but hope I'll have to cut more later too because the group gets bigger. I haven't had any luck getting others to join either.
If we want more people joining... is it valid to post an announcement on the sewforum asking people to come to our forum to join here?
Inquiring minds want to know...
Deb
Your blocks are beautiful and my favorite is the middle one it is so different.

The magnetic thing is a magnetic piece of metal about 2 inches long that sticks to the plate of the sewing machine. You can set it 1/4" away from the needle for 1/4" seams or farther from the needle for larger seams.

YES!!I have even gone so far as too send private messages to those who have posted pictures of their beautiful quilts.
The 'strange' looking block was from a quilt block a day calendar; I could not sew the 1/2 circles to the squares like I had prior because they were square and not with a cut out so I did applique it instead of throw it all away like I started to do!!![]()

After seeing some of the blocks, I am curious as to whether or not on the last swap any of you ended up using the same fabric?
