No you do not have to embroider them at all and theres plenty of time to finish all the blocks for the swap before the dead line on October 31.
Here’s the swap details:
The only thing really required is 12.5" blocks in a winter theme which means:
Christmas,- (religious or secular) including all of the other holidays that occur at this time of year, things like Christmas, Chanukah, winter scenes, or just blocks with Christmas materials, embroidered or not, or appliquéd; basically it’s what you believe in for this season or this time of year, with your personal touch. Thats what makes a swap like this so neat we get so many unique ideas and personalitys the quilts are so pretty.
The sign up list won't close until Beginning of October so we don't know how many blocks were making yet, but you would be the 18th person to sign up so far. The blocks are due to be sent in to Deb on October 31, so we have plenty of time to do a lot of blocks. The name blocks are up to you if you want to make them or not, they are not required. Name blocks re 2.5" by 4.5" little blocks with our name and state on them in case who ever get the blocks wants to use them in their quilts as I will do and Deb already did but they are not required.
Hope this explains it all.
If you have any questions just ask. This is a great group of ladies who are always willing to help. Don't worry about being new either, most of us were all new in the last swap which just ended a month or so ago and as you can see we didn't do a bad job of making our quilt blocks.
If you look on page 9 here in this forum theres some pictures of the blocks we made last time, that Deb's made into her quilt top from the last swap. The last swap we all embroidererd the blocks but you don't have to this time.
Happy quilting
Bre
