You are welcome. I don't know what Lee jeans are coming to. Both my pairs are Lees and I had to fix 2 pairs and 1 pair was only worn twice.
Howdy Y'all. Wasn't here much yesterday, and don't know about today. DH has two days off work, and we have some much needed cleaning to do outside. So will be in and out. My computer time seems to be shorter these days...sigh.
Hi, all a lot late, but I am doing another quick check in.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

good morning all.
i am back from our school trip. We live near Bakersfield, CA and took our 8th graders on a graduation trip to Sacramento, CA (the state capital) on Wednesday. it takes over 5 hours to get there on a bus going 55 miles an hour...thank God my friend and i were able to drive behind them in her car! at least we didn't have chaperone duty for long a period!... lol..
we got to the capital and managed to visit the Govenor's Mansion. It hasn't been used as a residence since President Reagon was the govenor of our state. can't remember the year, but am thinking the guide said 60's. (memory problems... duh!)
we then went to the State Capital and had a meeting with our Senator, who explained a lot to the kids during a question and answer period. It was fascinating to listen to the student's questions. We then got an extra tour of the capital as his guests.
The next day, we started out at the Jelly Belly factory. 9:00 a.m. and the kids are getting jazzed out on sugar!
Drove the 30 miles into San Francisco and took them to Fisherman's Wharf. we broke into groups of 4 and mine wanted to see Ripley's Believe it or not Museum. that was FUN! i had a ball. then they met up and took the Ferry ride to Alcatraz Island. It is a famous penitentary that no one has ever successfully escaped from. several have tried, none lived. Then we went to the Science Planetarium (or is it Exploratorium? memory again). Oh, My Gosh! if any of you are ever in San Francisco, you have got to take your kids to that! The kids went to the Tactile Room so we adults got to hang around for an hour or so. I didn't get to see everything, but i had so much fun playing with all the experiments.... it was fantastic!
it took 5 hours to get to Sacramento from my house going north. San Francisco is 1 mile farther going northwest. it took us 8 1/2 hours to get home from S.F. we didn't get back to the school until 1 a.m. and i had to be back at work the next morning at 8. Let me tell you, i didn't get very much done on Friday! lol... and i am going back to bed here real soon! i am exhausted!
the best part of the trip...
one of the boys i chaperoned had never been out of our little area (rural farming). he had never seen a large city, never had sea food, never been on a boat. Never, never seen the strange people who do acts on the streets. He made the trip so Great for me.
anyway, all of you have a fantastic day, i think i am going back to bed now... this has taken about 20 minutes to write...

Happy Monday and Memorial Day to everyone. Just checking in...where is everybody?
I am here! Spending the day with dear husband. Remembering his grandfathers who served in the military. My husband is a veteran of Viet Nam, so many memories to think about. Had rain over night, so will probably just stay inside and watch old war movies. He really likes to do that. I might do some counted cross stitch. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
I got an invitation to a home cooked meal from my son, his wife and daughter, and my daughter. It was an invitation, very formal, for me to cook spaghetti for them. They are all playing golf with my husband today. I am cooking spaghetti, and baking a strawberry poke cake. The peace is wonderful!
