Happy Friday everyone! It's a lovely, warm, sunny morning here on the west coast. It's 10:38a.m. here and I am planning to do some sewing today. I'm working on another pair of oven mitts. Enjoy Friday, everyone.

Debbsie- what do you use on the inside of your oven mitts to keep from getting you hands burned? I've tried some insulation stuff from the fabric shop - but it still lets a lot of heat go thru. And taking heavy pans from the oven - no way!

I haven't made any oven mitts yet, but did purchase some heavy duty reflective ironing board cover material a while ago. I assume it would be better insulating than some of that "insulation stuff from the fabric shop." I'm such a procastinator!

I was going to make some hot pads for Christmas last yer - but nothing I found so far would work to prevent someone from getting burned. They'd look pretty - but not be functional. My SIL cooks a lot - so does my brother. And they'd want to be able to use them.

And I wanted to make some for myself as well.
