Glad to hear that you were feeling a bit better for your birthday, Becca. It must not be listed on DBS calendar or we could have sent you many more wishes!
Im here my little chickies! Had a few days of just not feeling good at all and then a few days of being really busy trying to get everything done I didnt do in those down days. I still have laundry stacked to the ceiling! LOL! Yesterday was my birthday and it seems like I spent the entire day either with company or on the phone. I will try not to go AWOL on you all again![]()

Happy belated birthday Becca ... Have a lot of fun today !
Thanks girls! I guess between getting another yr older, being sick, and the resluts of my sono Ive just been kinda "blah"...maybe even on a bit of a pity party! LOL!
Remember he said I had an ulcer but scheduled a sono because he thought something else was going on? Well he calls and says I have a "fatty liver" that could in years down the road turn into cirossis (sp) if I dont take care of it! I thought that only happened to alcoholics!
He suspects its from all the years of playing russian roulette with anti-inflamatories trying to find something that worked for the fibromylagia. At any rate, my new rules are, no alcohol (easy) no caffiene (not so easy) no anti-inflamatories, including no advil or ibuprofen, and loose some weight (Im smaller than any woman I know!)
So Basically all my friends and family are bigger than me but Im on a diet,Im not a drinker to begin with but the occasional glass of wine is out, I have an auto-immune disease and cant take meds for it. Other than that life is great! hahaha! Im suppose to go see a GI Dr on the 10th for a consultation. Time remains to be seen what that will result in. In the mean time Ive been eating like a rabbit, walking a mile a day, and TRYING to only drink water...BORING!!! So theres the story of "whats up with Becca"![]()
The doctors are giving you suggestions to help defend a liver that has been overworked due to anti-inflammatory drugs. We so often take our bodies for granted but it sounds like you have taken very good care of yours, Becca. It is not taking very good care of you in return!

There is always, always something to be thankful for.
Thank you! I was diagnosed 20 yrs ago. It was ALOT worse then. At that time my entire body felt as if it was on fire and even a gentle hug hurt. I was on prednisone (steroids) for 2 yrs and then changed drs and found out how dangerous that was! Then it was on to what I call prescription roulette! Over the course of several years I took 33 different Rx's trying to stay one step ahead. One wouldnt work at all, the next would help the pain but have terrible side effects and so on. We would find one that seemed like a miracle and I would feel great for a few months and then Id build up an immunity to it and it wouldnt work anymore and the cycle would begin again! Finally I said enough is enough and decided to take control of the issue myself. I went off all meds, started accupuncture, massage and yoga. I also started meditation, breathing exercises and practicing positive thinking. The mind has alot of control over the body! I still have alot of issues...more surgeries that I can count, last being back surgery a yr ago. My immune system is shot and I catch every bug that comes around. The fibro lokes to move around and wreak havoc on different parts of my body or organs at any given time. But I am sooo much better than I was, better than most with my condition, and better than alot of others with other conditions not even related to mine. I am blessed and I take time to remind myself of that every dayI have fibromyalgia, fibromyalgia doesnt have me! I like to think of it as when I was young and naive I let it control me, now Im getting older and cantakerous and Im in the one in control!
Happy belated birthday greetings, becca. You are certainly trying all the right things to improve your health. Keep it up and things are bound to improve.

Well it's time for me to be off and running again. Gotta pick my daughter up from cheer practice then go by dad's house and pick up a few things for him and then go to check on how his day is going so far and see what the doctors are saying.
I am here and on-line.
Thank You, Have aDay
