      Default daily free design voting

Specificaly how does this work please. Do the votes acumulate or do all designs start at 0 each day and only the votes for that day count I have been quietly voting for a couple of designs and I wonder if I am wasting my votes.

Hi, Denice!! Welcome to SiCK's forum!!
Voting, in general, works by counting the votes for each design every day. The votes don't accumulate, but the top vote getters are posted to the daily freebie list, and then usually others see them and vote as well, if it's a popular design. And the one with the most votes wins!

But, aha! We forum friends here have developed a wishlist, and a dedicated group of voters to get our wishes fulfilled

If you go to the Daily Free Pes part of the forum, you will see a post (it's a sticky, I believe, top of the list of questions) called wishlist. Please join us. You vote for the top three wishes in the list every day. As the design wins, the next design in order takes its place. When you place a wish, Susan, our dedicated wish goddess and saint, will add it to the bottom of the list. As designs win, yours eventually comes to the top, and everyone will vote for your designs. Please look thru the posts for one from Quiltersblock, she has posted instructions for putting your wish on the list so Susan can just cut and paste it. Just add your post to the end of the "wishlist" post, to make sure it's seen, because if you make a new posting sometimes Susan doesn't catch it.

Hope this is clear, and that you'll join us

      Welcome to the forum!

Thank-you Marji the way you describe it the voting system is quite clear but now can you explain why the same design is on the voting page 2 and even 3 times even when it has won? For today as an example one of the winning disigns ( the blue lines sewing jars) has won but is on two other times.

Asking me to stretch my brain this morning, right? Ok, let me try. The daily voting page shows the results of three days, not just one. So the first column, today, shows that the jars won, and they are free today. This is the results of yesterday's voting. The second column is the results of Thursday's voting, and was the first column yesterday. The jars show up in the voting list there because they didn't get enough votes to win, but did get enough to show up on the list. The third column, all the way to the right, is the result of Wednesday's voting, and was the first column on the left on Thursday morning. Same story about the jars there. SiCK is the only place I know where the voting winners of a day's voting are actually available for download for three days! As for why the whole column shows up, I think it's just the way the computer is set up at SiCK's, and so people can track how the voting is going, whether their favorite is gaining or losing votes.

Ok, how did I do? Clear as mud?

Another suggestion, if you have a specific design you want, come and join our Wishlist! Look under Daily Free PES in the forums, and I think the second announcement is called "Wishlist as of September (whatever)". We decide on a design we want, post it to the list in the format Quiltersblock describes in her post, and Susan puts it on the list. We vote for the top 3 wishes every day, then as a wish wins the next one in line takes its place. We have a large enough group to get the wishes on the daily chart, anyway, and then usually when people see them there they get additional votes and win. Come and join us, I guarantee you'll never 'waste' another wish again! Please do take the time to read thru the thread, see how it works, and see how happy it makes everyone. You'd be very welcome there.

      Have a great day,
      Marji

I would like to request the Snowflake Corner in the Christmas Borders Designs set.

I hope this is the correct way to request it.
