What is the User Control Panel – User CP?

The User Control Panel – the User CP – is where personal settings, options and preferences are controlled. In order to visit the User CP, it is necessary to first register on the forums. Once a member is logged in, she or he may go to the User CP.

To get to the User CP, click on User CP in the header bar near the top of the page. This is the bar that has: User CP, All Albums, FAQ, Community, Calendar, New Posts, Search, Quick Links, and Log Out across the top of it.
The User CP main page lists any new notifications, including new private messages and pending friend requests.

Additional pages and forms allow the user to control many other items from the left side of the User CP page.

Clicking on Your Profile, takes you to your profile page, where you can see friends. You can edit contact information. You can view, create, or edit albums, and you can leave a visitor message.

Clicking on Edit Your Details or Edit Profile Picture under Your Profile in your User CP allows you to edit your details or edit your profile picture, respectively.

Under Networking, you can click on Contacts & Friends you can add or remove a contact or friend. Clicking on Social Groups shows you a list of groups you may join and the list of groups to which you may belong. Clicking on Pictures and Albums takes you directly to your albums for viewing, creating, or editing.

You can edit your Avatar by clicking on Edit Avatar under Settings & Options. Edit your signature by clicking on Edit Signature under Settings & Options. Edit email & password by clicking on Edit Email & Password under Settings & Options. Clicking on Edit Options allows you to edit your options of Login & Privacy, Messaging & Notification, Thread Display Options, Date & Time Options, and your editor interface options. Clicking on Edit Ignore List under Setting & Options allows you to add a member to your Ignore List.

Under Private Messages there are four options. Clicking on List Messages takes you to your Private Messages. Clicking on Send New Private Message takes you to your Send Box. Clicking on Track Messages shows your list of Confirmed and Unconfirmed Private Message Receipts. Clicking on Edit Folders allows you to edit your Custom folders in messaging.

List Subscriptions and Edit Folders are two options under Subscribed Threads.

Moderation contains three options: Deleted Items, Moderated Items, and New Items.

Event Reminders and Attachments are two options under Miscellaneous. Clicking on Attachments will take you to a list of the attachments you have posted to threads and it allows you to delete those attachments.
