wienerin when you said you were going to sew you did just that. You have been so busy today. Your towels came out great. I hope you get the other one finished before tomorrow. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Great job on the towels, wienerin! Hope you get everything done.

Let's see ... today ... spent a little more time than planned on-line but we now have a place for recipes!
Got some work done, but still have lots to do, plus a digitizing challenge I want to do. Dishwasher is loaded and set to go off after midnight when water and power usage is down. Got some laundry done today and will do another load tonight. Everything is ready for the Easter Hunt tomorrow afternoon when the little guy comes. I have my list so can hide everything just before they come and I'll know where it is so nothing is forgotten. Got the dusting done and hubby said he'd run the vac in the morning. He came home from his ski lesson earlier than expected and took me out to dinner and he surprised me by wanting to talk about studios and me creating a quilt and entering it in an international competition this year - so maybe I need to design it and start working on it. Will try to connect with friends and family elsewhere tomorrow via phone since next weekend will probably be a photo shoot and a shopping/planning excursion. More work tonight and in the morning. I'll post more recipes at a later time.
      Happy Easter!

I have been going through old clothes doing repairs. My Pfaff has a darning stitch to it, I have been having fun with that stitch on a lot of clothes. That stitch seems to amaze me for some reason.

I am also quilting. I take spells of quilting and can't stop. Then suddenly I will finish a quilt and move on to something else. LOL... I love sewing with a passion. Hubby is so proud of the things I make and repair. It's pretty nice to have a husband that appreciates everything you do for him. Shari

I have that darning stitch on my machine and never thought about using it. I always use the zig zag stitch. Think I'll just stitch it to see what it looks like. Thanks for giving me the incentive to use it.

Your going to love the darning stitch. I do. I used it on a pair of gym pants that had a bunch of tiny holes in them. I used it on a pair of jeans on a rip it came out really nice. So experiment some it's fun. Shari

Shari, That is great that your hubby appreciates everything you make, repair and do for him. It sounds like you are having a wonderful time with your new machine, no more problems.

I agree with Ginny Shari. Isn't it great when a hubby supports all of the work we do for them? I am fortunate to also have one like that. He is my biggest fan when it comes to my sewing and embroidering. I am going to embroider name tags for his uniform! He was hurt at work so I have been taking care of him for the past several weeks. He fractured his right hand in two places and had pins put in. But he should be fine soon and hope to be back at work soon after some PT. Glad you have a hubby that supports you too! Karen

No not a single problem at all. Works like a charm. I love it. I highly recommend a Pfaff, the quilter expression 4.0 is worth owning. Shari

My husband seems to feel it is his duty or responsibility to go out of his way to make me happy. I have had a hard life. I suffer from Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder. It is from being beaten as a child by a father then abused by a first husband. My sister has it too, but not as bad as I have it. She never married a man that was abusive. I ask where all the employee's were in a store since there were four people waiting at the cash register. And this one man said he would take my money I said no thank you I'll wait. I went to walk away, he said, no I will take your money in a harsh voice, I flipped out. Told him if he tried I'd make him so sorry he wish he never tried to touch me or my money. Right there in the store. I had a rush of anger go threw me, and when he said he wanted my money(he was confronting me) I turned and said I took self defense come on and try it! I stood their looking him down. My husband came up behind me and said to the man I would not try it she is not joking or lying. LOL.... I am such a meanie. Shari

It's more then wonderful having a husband who really loves you and supports you, and is strong enough in himself to let a woman stand beside him no follow behind. Shari

No Shari, you are not a meanie, you were just letting him know you meant business. Yes when a man has his woman walk with him does shows that there is an equallity balance. When you see the man walking ahead of the woman he is showing dominencey issues and possibly being abusive.

If a woman walks with the man then he is sure of who he is, he feels safe in his manhood. He knows what he wants in life and has chosen someone to stand with him. He is what I call a man's man. That is my husband. He is not scared of me saying something, he would fight for my right to say it. He listens to what I say he might not always agree that is fine, but at least he listens. Sometimes he agrees with me. And if I do not understand something he doesn't look down on me he takes the time to explain it. Now that to me makes a real man. My husband ask me to marry him four times before I finally accepted. I am so glad I did. He promised me he would make me happy, life would never be dull. He has kept his promises. Shari

Shari that is fantastic that he kept his promise, You are so well deserving of someone wonderful. We , meaning, people are not going to always agree it is a matter of listening and respecting each other. I am so happy for you.

So true Shari, it does go both ways. Alot of of men are quite disrepectful of females, who do they think gave them birth, it was a woman. Please I hope no takes this the wrong way. I did come across a male that did have bad experiences with females cheating on him, and the way I presented it to him is that his mother is a female and if it was not for her he would not be here, He then did think differently after I said that. It is quite true.

Wow that is wonderful of you to show him that not all women are cheats. It is important to let men know that with out women they would not be here. Which is true if men were not here. There are some women out there who cheat like it was no tomorrow. I do not understand that. When you have seven good nights at home why wonder? Siobhan
