went shopping for a few things as tomorrow starts the big spring clean cutains come down even the dust bunnies need to find a new home for the spring everybody in the house sees it coming and hopefuly will disapear for tomorrow it goes so much faster when you dont have grown kids under foot oh an one husband trying his best to stay out of the way

I give everyone one or two rooms to spring clean so I don't have to do it all. Even my DH does rooms. If they don't do it to my satisfaction, they do it again. If the walls need paint they have to do that too. That's why some get 1 room and some get 2 rooms also my grandson is only 11 so he gets just his own room. You should try that since you mentioned you had grown kids. They are big enough to help or send them outside to clean the yard. That always needs cleaning and picking weeds come Spring. Good Luck

Just awoke from a nap or a lonnnng sleep (laid down for 5 min @ 2pm and now it's 6:30) to see what's going on. I am behind on my sewing for today. Getting ready to do another bag. I am loving the gothic girls applique.

What have been doing today? Been watching the storms that came accross middle TN this afternoon. Lots of hme damaged in Murfreesboro. Several funnel clouds not far from my house. I even dove under the table with the dogs once today. Then afterwards - I've been glued to the tv watching all the damage reports. It hit a few miles from where the tornado hit two weeks ago. Only this time - a mom and her two month old baby got killed. And the day started out so well!

That storm left us last night. Tore up some parts of Shreveport and Bossier next door to us and went up the line of I-20 and out. We had a lot of trees down and power outage. I sat all night looking at damage reports as they were coming in. It started out in Texas before it hit parts of us. We had a few injuries but no deaths. Hope everyone else in it's path are safe.

Today, I did very little, how embarassing. I did get a load of laundry done. I also exercised my fingers on the computer keyboard. My son called from AZ which is always nice. I hate calling him cause I never know his schedule (he is a Marine deployed to AZ right now so his work schedule has been wonky) He gets to come home next month before the BIG deployment. I exercised my mouth on the telephone also. Hey, at least I got some exercise in, right?

After an early morning telecon, I had tons of errands to run. Just got home and hubby came home early after having to work on his day off. So we jumped in the Jeep and headed off to do some major errands and get a bite. Traffic was nasty so we took back roads and took our time - about the same as the freeway but at least we were moving and they were parked. Caught up on some phone calls while we were driving - we have Bluetooth in the vehicles (hands-free), and then we were making plans for summer trips. Hubby is going to Death Valley in August. We're talking about Glacier in June or July but I'm not sure if I can get away to go with him. And we might have to go to MN in June; I'm trying to avoid it at all this year. Managed to get a few plans made but arrived home later than usual for dinner for the kitties, so we're having to kiss up to the cats tonight because their din-din was late. Correction: Hubby has to do some serious kitty butt kissing since it's his office. I'm thinking about calling it a night soon because I'll be working all day tomorrow while hubby has his last ski lesson of the season. Everything is ready for the Easter egg hunt on Sunday afternoon for our friends' little guy, who was just diagnosed autistic a couple days ago. He will be my exercise. We only have a couple hours together but I'm ready to keep his active little mind busy in that time and give his mom a break. He calls me Auntie; I've been adopted. I'm sure I'll be bushed after they've left, so want to get work done and have Sunday totally empty and part of Monday as well - to recover! LOL

Went to the shops with Daugther and Granddaugther it was crazy, there were sales everywhere and some people just go mad.
I only came home with a jacket and some Fruit and Veggies.

Hubby is taking me out to Dinner tonigth to a special place nice no cooking, have to tomorrow as kids are coming over for lunch and have to do easter Egg hunt with GD lots of fun.

I am still trying to wake up........have to run some errands this morning, bake some bread and clean up kitchen and living room.
On Monday my kids will be here for brunch and my youngest and DIL are staying for dinner.

Follow me around for a day and something will get exercised.
Didn't get everything done so work Saturday and Sunday morning for company for a couple hours later Sunday. At least the laundry is done.

I have no idea how to manage all this ... today I have to clean the house, have to embroider some towels (easter gifts), and should bake two or three easter lambs. Perhaps I'll have to go shopping again, as I have not checked yet if I have all the ingredients needed for the lambs at home...

Catlick cleaning....hmmmmm...new one for me. Never heard of this. Maybe it's what my house needs. LOL

I wouldn't dare let the cats out of their room to "help" clean. The black kitty would just sit and watch so nothing would get cleaned but nothing would get messed up, either. The white kitty is akin to a bull in a china closet. A few days after we adopted him from the shelter he came down with kennel cough and a week later had to spend four days in isolation at the kitty hospital, so we contemplated calling him Bankrupt. Once home, he recovered quickly and his true personality came out. Since he's always looking to get into things and his curiousity has probably cost him his nine lives and he's most likely working on the "excess" lives of the good kitty, we've thought about naming him Trouble. However, after seeing him on the prowl in the cat room - he's a bit of a ballistic kitty at times, so much so that the black kitty actually hides to avoid getting bowled over or crashed into by the white kitty - I believe he is still woefully lacking in the name department. I think he should have been called Merlin after the alchemist because he can turn a room into a disaster area in nothing flat!
No catlick clean here. Besides, the felines are afraid of the vacuum cleaner. Fraidy cats! I'll get dishes unloaded and loaded on breaks and laundry is running.
