congratulations to everyone today for either doing
nothing or doing something

I have moved a bunch of boxes of mason jars outside
in the backyard. There were tons in there, and they need sorting. The carpenter took them all down and laid
them on the garage floor, but I need to get my car back in the garage so had no where to put them until they are sorted. When it warms up, ( only about 1' here )
i will hose them out and let them dry, and find some
clean new boxes. There is also a box that mice made a nest in YUK ... Anyway, now it is time to eat

My day today started out with a 4:20AM call from my aunt's assisted living center. They thought she had water on her heart and were rushing her to the hospital. So sis and I jumped up and ran to the ER. This is the second ER visit for her this week. She went in Friday afternoon for a bad bladder infection. It turns out this is the same thing plus she very congested with a cold. Hence her breathing problem. Her heart is strong and fine!

So we get home and I went back to bed for an quick nap - then been up and sewing all day. Plus I was a bad girl. I'm making a pineapple upside down cake as I type. I wish ya'll could smell it. It smells super delish!!!

I can't wait to get me a nice warm piece with a glass of milk!

I am glad your aunts heart was not the problem. I have not had that cake in years. I can almost smell it baking.

I have been out in the yard all day pulling weeds and general cleanup. I am getting tired. I came in for a break and left my hubby working. I wonder if he will notice me gone.

today has been a good day. i have done a little amigurumi and listened to the idiot box (tv). tomorrow and tuesday are going to be very busy - we are shearing 37 alpaca and about 10 llamas. my partner and i are both going to try to learn shearing this year as our shearer is in his 80s and decided to retire. this is his last year.

Thank Molly, It is a tough game but we all love it here its like its in our blood LOL. Yes it was nice to relax yesterday evening with my head throbbing, today in work is a different story Im sore all over and the weather isnt helping! LOL

I'm deleting a herd of 'thanks for sharing' message notifications from my e-mail in-box. Dozens of threads, one person, one line, over and over. Having minor flashbacks to The Shining ('All work and no play...') while I'm doing so.

I have to call Brother today - the screw on the hoop Brody came with is stripped in one spot, so it won't keep the tension. I'm hoping they can send replacement screws. If not, I'm off to Ace Hardware and/or Lowe's to try to find something similar. Has this happened to anyone else ?

I also have to get my inhaler prescription refilled, since I lost the newest one over the weekend. Maybe it's at Dearest Son's school...

So, not a lot. Hoping your day's going well, I'm off to an inauspicious start, huh ? I'd say I'm having a case of The Mondays, but I believe you'd get your can kicked for saying something like that. *

Dorrie...I have an extra 4x4 hoop, also from a Brother machine and the same thing happened. However, since it's an extra I haven't tried to fix it yet. Good luck! Joyce L.

I had that happen with my first machine hoop and I went to the hardware store and replaced the screw.

Just got off the phone with Brother - they're sending me replacement screws, and they should go off today. I'll probably have 'em Wed. or Thurs. Whoo-hoo !

They apologized for the inconvenience, and encouraged me to call if I had any other problems. Wow. This is why we went with a Brother embroidery machine - their customer service.

Our three-day-old Brother printer/scanner/fax got hit by lightning last year. I called a few days after that, just to see if there was a fuse or something I could try to fix... but they shipped us a brand-new one, long as I mailed back the fried one within three days. They even prepaid shipping on it. Wasn't even their fault, but they took care of things. Phone co. ? Ran like rabbits, and it was their fault and they knew it.

So I'm impressed by Brother - but I may make a quick trip to Ace Hardware anyway. It's right by Dollar Tree !

"Hi. I'm sitting here reading through the posts when I should be clearning house, doing laundry, etc. It's a beautiful day here in Texas. The sun is shining, it's about 70 degrees outside and the bluebonnets are blooming all around."

I am so jealous. We have snow predicted today, and all I have are pictures of bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes to keep me warm inside! : )

Hey... Let me tell you about Brother. I bought my mom the 270d at wal=mart, when it was just over a year old something broke inside. I was told to send it to the authorized dealer in Texas...he wanted a ton of money...got back in touch with brother....a bust...got in touch with the head buyer for all the wal-mart fabric departments explained the problem and told her I was in process of writing a letter of complaint to the head of the brother company because I couldn't get past the reps that answer the phone when you call brother. She asked me to hold off writing the letter and give her the chance to speak with her contact at the brother company. Next day brother called and told me to send machine back and they were shipping a whole new machine. Since the machine was in the shop they told me don't worry they would take care of getting that one and they also apologized for the trouble I had gone thru.

She's absolutely right - even though I hate to ask anyone for anything, ya know ? But just like she said, ya never know until you ask.

And it certainly pays to register those big-ticket items. Brother already had all my info, from where I registered him about a week after he arrived. We'd registered the printer, too. It goes a long way when you have to report a problem.

Now, here's hoping I can get the $9. generic inhaler refill rather than the $42. name-brand prescription...

Yes I dont like asking people for things, but when it is about money issues or something that goes wrong like yourself that it is important that we have the courage to stand up for ourselves and to get the people responsible for problems to right them

Today I have to cut out 2 prom dresses (my daughter and her friend) do taxes for my dad, son and other daughter. I hope to get some embroidery done today as well.

I had a hurling match this morning and I play in goal! Near the end of the second half I went for a ball, got a bad tackle and player landed on my head. We wear helmets, and because of the helmet I got a minor concussion due to it pressing on my head too much.Our physio told me that I would have been fine without helmet LOL.
I am now sitting in front of the fire for the afternoon, no sewing or ME today

Thanks Elaine, Im abit stiff and sore on my neck area but headache/throbbin is gone, thank god. Would still perfer to be at home today than in work

Molly, those dresses must be very difficult to make, I hope you dont get too much hardship with the taxes, last week was the end of the year for the shop...so many invoices etc to sort out glad it is done and dusted.
