Howdy y'all. Getting DH off to work and then I've got a bit of shopping to do. Too hot already to be doing much outside...sigh. Tonight I 'dance in my chair'. tee hee DH plays outside at a fun place on the lake. Should be nice and beautiful. Last time it was cold, so instead of dancing in my chair...there was a 'whole lot of shaking going on'. LOL

Just got a pot of soup on for DH. Was going to go out and weed the garden for an hour, but it's now raining again. Oh well, I didn't really want to do it. One of those things that needs to be done.

Hey all. Sunny and warm here in MI. I should be cutting the grass and such, but don't feel up to it. I think I'll play on the puter a while longer and then start on something.

I am in a vegetative state today. I just finished a stretch of 3-11 shifts and these tired old bones can't handle them anymore. So I'm cleaning all my machines today and resting up as we're off to the races tonight. DH and friend are excited cause they got our friend's 15 yr old DD's car set up and and his in record time. I see some major repairs in the near future.If everything goes smoothly in the shop they don't usually on the track. I won't have to wear winter clothes tonight. WooHoo. I hate freezing in the grandstands.Bbquing fresh Atlantic Salmon and Rhubarb crisp on the menu tonight.

Having coffee and cheerios. And looking around at this sewing, computer, laundry room, where the Chihuahua's and I spend a lot of time. Some how, I've gotta re-arrange to make it more efficient. It's just 'not working'....sigh.

Another hot day in store for us, with a chance of boomers later. I didn't get to dance in my chair last night, because of them. But I did get to see my friends and chat..so that was a good thing. LOL The band got in three songs, then the winds hit and we waited to see if 'the show could go on'. After covering all the equipment, the decision was made to pack up and go home.

Mary and Molly y'all are so sweet! We were disappointed, but seeing our friends made up for the weather. And my friend brought the recipe of Apple Cake quilt-silly ask for. Yahoo!

Mary, the band has to cancel the gig, even though they set up and it's not their fault the weather was bad...and no pay...sigh. They are supposed to play there this coming Saturday...but that too could be canceled if the weather acts up. LOL It's outside on the Lake with no protection from the elements. And we just can't take chances with thousands of dollars worth of electronics. The owner keeps promising to cover the stage area...we'll see.

The races were a blast!!All of the hard work paid off for a while. Tires were the problem but friend's car was leading the feature for over half of it. I promised him I'd buy him a car wrap if he won a feature so I was thinking my fabric budget was going to take a big bite. His DD also got a flat tire but when she came to the grandstands to chat with my DH (he's her driving coach...something about teens not listening to their parents) the smile on her face and my DH's was worth it.

I have a pair of jeans, I need to sew a side seam on. Came undone with first wash...sigh.

DH just fed me a wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch. Ham and cheese omelet, with hot sauce, and toasted banana bread with lots of sweet cream butter. I make banana bread and we freeze chunks of it. tee hee. It's the best banana bread recipe I've ever made, and it's made from Bisquick.
So I'm being lazy, too. That's what Sunday's are for round our house. Eat, rest, eat, rest. LOL

You probably need to rest, too Mary. Working, Edwin's Birthday...you've had a busy week. So rest if you can...oh and don't forget to eat, too. tee hee
