I spent the day outside spraying weed killer along my fences. Poison ivy tends to grow there if I don't spray.
It is raining now and is suppose to rain tomorrow. I like to sew in the rain! So maybe tomorrow I will get to sew.

When it rains I can sleep. I get such a great rest when it rains. I have a steal roof on my house and when the rain hits the steal it puts me to sleep. I also sew during the day if it is raining. Shari
Such a memory. When I was growing up our next door neighbors house had a tin/aluminum carport cover and when it would rain I would lay there and just listen to all the sounds it would make. When I got married and moved away I always missed that when it would rain.

There is something special about rain. It makes all things new again, all things clean again, refreshes the air, the human spirit as well. There is something special about rain that just takes ones breath away. Shari
It's like Jesus' tears for the soul. There is nothing like it.
Molly
Rain cleans the air. There is no such thing like taking a deep breath outside after a rainshower in spring.
My mother use to tell me when I was a kid, that the rain was caused from the angels crying. They were crying because some children were bad. And when thunder and lighting happened it was God mad because the angels were crying. Anyone else get nutty things like that told them as kids? Shari
I was also told God was bowling and when he got a strike it was lighting. LOL Shari
We didn't get one about the lightning.

I always thought the devil was beating his wife if it rained while the sun was shining.
Isn't it amazing the tall tales we were told as kids, and believed them.
Molly
Well now that is a new one on me. I wonder if she likes it? Raining when the sun is out. I heard that if the sun is shining and it begins t rain on the day of the funeral the person was going directly to heaven not stopping at the gates to check it, just straight their. Shari
Oh, Shari, I like that one. It did that the day we buried my "baby" sister!
Oh this must be reassuring for you Pat. But no matter what God would have taken your baby sister straight to heaven no matter what. Shari

I heard this one also.
Molly
She was my "baby" sister, but she was 52 years old. There was just the 2 of us growing up and she was 7 years younger. So she would always be my "baby" sister. But I think you are right about God taking her!
all those tales ... scary ... never was told such a thing, thank God! *shiver*
