Need help with Bernina Artista Designer Plus

Hello everybody, I am not sure, but I think this is the first time that I write on this forum . I have Bernina Artista Designer Plus and I am learning to use it. I am starting with autodigitizing but some designs have problem and I don't know how can I edit stitches I downloaded an example, it is a design that I am trying to digitize but I don't like the tires. Can somebody help me , pleeeeaaassseeee!!!!! Thank you in advance

I am kinda busy but I wanted to take a quick look and see what you meant. I apologize for not spending more time 'analyzing' your problem but I think it will be pretty easy to fix.
The tires are being filled with a contoured satin type stitch.... big blotches of long stitches that do not 'fit' the tires' shape very well. It's just a poor decision by the auto digitizer.
I would change the stitch type to a complex fill (like a 'weave' look) like the rest of the car is filled with. If you really want a satin stitch someone with the same digitizer will probably have to advise you on what steps to use to 're-align', for lack of a better term, the stitches to fit the contour of the tire.
I like using complex fills with kids' designs anyway... they are less likely to snag on things or in the wash than long pretty satin stitches are...
Try that...select the area of the tires, select a complex fill, adjust what angle looks best for that fill and try it. Save the new design with a different file name so you don't mess up your original! Let me know if this helps...

Hi, Letvia, good to see you here!!!

On my Janome Digitizer, when you do auto-digitizing, it gives you a selection of what kinds of fill to use before you digitize. One of the things I do is always select "weave" fill for everything, because then you will NOT get any turning-angle satin fills, which are impossible to change. If you select 'weave', then you can always turn it into satin stitches, or other weaves, adjust density, etc., but you aren't stuck with that turning angle fill. You know these programs are 'supid', and can't recognize a rose petal from a tire, just recognize areas to be filled. If you are manually digitizing, that turning angle fill can be beautiful, but a lot of times the program will do one animal eye in turning angle and the other eye in weave! Give that change a try, see if it makes a difference for you in the control you have when you want to change things the auto-digitizer did.

Glad you're here, by the way! Q&A here are much easier to follow for something like this, keeps it all in one place & don't have to search all over. Miss the flowers, though.

Hello Marji, again you to my rescue, hahaha. I tried what you said but I can't use "wave" fill, I only have "Auto" "Step" and "Satin" and have another that says "Details" and there I can pick "Satin" "Doble Run" and "Satin Lines" I will try with all and then let you know what happen. Thank you so much. I like this forum too but I can't leave Cute, hahaha

I think Corel uses the term 'step' fill for what others call 'weave' or 'complex' fill.
Select the area for the tires. Find the Area Property dialog box and try changing that to 'Step' instead of 'Satin'........

My program, unlike Marji's, does allow you to change no matter what fill has already been selected or if the AI has selected Satin for you but I do not know if Corel will or not.
Letvia, Did you buy this program from a dealer you can call on the telephone? Maybe they have a better answer?
