I just realized that it has been a very long time since I have updated everyone on how the twins are doing. Since it is Liam's 5th birthday this week, how about a new pic of the twins? Tommy is wearing the red plaid and Danny is wearing the blue.
They are both very smart little guys, and in to everything. I can't keep them away from the DVD player and they believe that they are plenty old enough to put in their own DVD to watch. Fingerprints all over the disks! Tommy loves "Thomas the Tank Engine" and Disney's "Cars" while Danny likes "Shawn the Sheep" (referred to as Shawnsheep) and Disney channel's "Handy Manny," like his big brother.
Liam's birthday party this Saturday is Handy Manny themed. Anyone have any ideas for party games (for 5-year olds) that are handyman-based? So far, we are going to have a "Hop up, jump in" tool toss ("Hop up, Jump in" is the song that the tools sing on the show) where they will try to throw a variety of (non-sharp) tools into my tool box. There will also be a game where they will do a relay race to remove screws from a board.
I'm considering the game where everyone gets a balloon tied to their ankle and then try to pop everyone else's balloon (by stepping on it) and the last one with a balloon is the winner, but that has nothing to do with the theme. If all else fails, I will have them all sit down to watch the newest Handy Manny DVD (one of Liam's birthday presents) with a huge bowl of popcorn.

Maybe a good game could be a take on "pin the tail on the Donkey" only with paper hammers to "hit" on a nail drawn on a poster? What do you think? I really need some good ideas!
I think I am probably insane to be inviting 6 little kids to our house for a party, even though there will be at least three adults there (myself, my husband and my friend Chelsea). Pray for me and my sanity!
