I just read about your twins. They must be 3 now. Beautiful baby picture. I have twin boys too. They are 18 now.

Thanks for sharing and aren't you the proud Mommy of the cutest twins. Not forgetting their older brother. Hugs for you all.
Beautiful!!! Congrats and all the best!!
I am looking forward to seeing the updated picture of the boys. It really thrills me to see how healthy they are. That is answered prayer! Enjoy every moment with them that you can, I know how difficult it is to care for 3 little ones. Just remember that the cleaning will still be there tomorrow. Today, however will never come again. (That is what I keep telling myself when I am caring for the little ones.)
I was wondering did you find your cord to your camera so we can see new pics of the little ones?

Could you give me more information on those helmets the twins are wearing? I haven't seen anything like it here. I look forward to hearing about them

Wow they've grown big - I suppose we forget how time passes.
What darlings they are! We have that airplane swing also. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that uses them indoors also.
I'm curious about the helmets also. An uncle of mine once said that all children are born absolute geniuses. Unfortunately, they fall down so much at the toddler stage that it gets knocked out of them! Your pictures made me think of him. Maybe Tommy and Danny are still geniuses!!!!
Ahhhh, babies are so adorable! Cyber hugs all around. They don't look as small as you say. Don't tell me they are already putting on the pounds! I know they can grow up quick & all, but not this fast. Seriously, CONGRATS!!!!!!
They are so cute. I am giving them a cute as a bug award.

OK, here's the scoop. Danny is now 16 lbs 6 oz, and Tommy is 17 lbs 7 oz. Tommy is also completely off the growth charts for his height (he's a tall one!).
The helmets are for plageocephaly (flattening of the head), which happens rather frequently in children now that the medical community is encouraging parents to place their babies on their backs to sleep. It is especially prevalant in preemies since their skulls just aren't as firmed up as full-term babies. Some babies are not affected (Liam wasn't) but others will tend to lay on the same spot on their heads all of the time, flattening out a spot. The doctor had us encourage the twins to lay on a different spot by placing a rolled-up blanket under one side of the mattress, but when that didn't work, we went to a specialist and they were measured and fitted with the helmets (which are custom-made). To tell just how severe the condition is, the doctor uses calipers to measure from over one eye to the back of the head on the opposite side. The two side mesurements are compared, and a differential of under10 mm is considered mild. From 10 to 15 is moderate, and above 15 is severe. We were told that cases considered severe could lead to brain damage because there may not be enough room in the skull for normal brain growth and development. Tommy had a differential of 13 mm, while Danny's was 17. It turns out that Danny had a complication of having acid reflux disorder, and because of that, would turn his head to kind of close off his esophagus and avoid the pain. He has now outgrown the reflux, thank goodness, and the helmet has made a huge improvement in his head. Tommy has actually "graduated" from his helmet since the pictures were taken (Christmas morning) and had a differential of less than 2 mm. Danny is down to 4 mm and will probably be done at the beginning of February. As they are practically 10 months old now, there is honestly no chance that they will "flatten" again.
The boys are both crawling and pulling themselves up to stand. Each has 6 teeth already, and they are so sweet when they jabber. I'm starting to hear 'mama' and 'dada', although they don't actually understand what they are saying yet. I am so lucky to have them!
