It would be a good way to show Shawn some loyalty (and to keep a flow of 'passing traffic' to the site) if we could all keep clicking Embroidery Top and Craft Top daily so that Designs By Sick would remain at the top of their listings.

Agreed.
I suggest people click on the links, go to the site(s), and once there to put the site link in their favorites and then go there every day.

Yes, Cutie Pie could you make Quiltersblocks post a sticky so we can continue to find the links, and keep this site at #1. Because it is still the best site on the web.

Just wanted to drop you a line of appreciation for posting the sites that no longer receive points

Family matters required me to br out of town for about 3 days, althouogh I di dmake a feble atempt to keep up with things - when I returned home and this am discovered that the point system had changed somewhat my first thought was I could kick myself for not bookmarking those links because I am one of those who enjoy looking around while drinking my morning tea.

And lo and behold, there was Quiltersblock coming to my rescue

Facebook is also not giving points .... #1 it's not included in the "points" button on our tool bar and even if you go to facebook.com and click on the DBS group - when you click on Shawn's link to come back here - you still don't get a point.

So are all points except for downloading the designs here on the site taken away. Ya know - I never did get points for posting ? !

Hi, Joyce. Glad you found the links useful. There were requests in another thread for the links, so I posted there, and I created this thread because I figured there would be others wanting the information.

I hope while you're enjoying your morning tea and looking at the sites that you'll continue to vote for this site, even though there are no points involved. It's a nice way to say "Thank you" to Shawn and the crew for the forum and for all the freebies we do get every day. Remember, there are still 49 free designs every day - two per hour and one daily, and that's more than any other site out there.

I suggest when you visit each site that you bookmark it in your browser, as this thread will eventually fade into the background - unless it's turned into a sticky.

If you go to http://www.designsbysick.com/points and it will explain what does get points. There is a link in there for posting problems and questions.

Please remember that this was only an experiment. Who knows, it might return someday - or not. The economy is bad all over and it will most likely get worse before it improves. That added to a slow time of year for sales - as business owners can attest, is more than a reasonable reason for cutbacks to save the business and jobs.

We've gained a forum, and we still get the opportunity to collect 49 gift designs every day. The points are nice but neither the points, nor the gift designs, are our due. They are gifts. I was taught that when a gift is given, the recipient should thank the giver. So, thank you, Shawn. I enjoy the hunt whenever I take part, I enjoy the designs, the forum is a fun place to share and learn - and much easier than the last mode of operation we had, and we still have the daily design and the wishlist.

Instead of dwelling on what was lost, why not celebrate what has been given? Enjoy the designs and everything else that is offered here.

Keep clicking for Shawn & company!
He still does alot for us and clicking on those sites and any other sites will show we support him with his business that gives us as much as it gives him, as it's a quality embroidery site with very good prices, no matter what!
Any links we click on will help with his ads, too, as the advertisers aren't gonna keep paying to place the ads if no one is using those links.
It only takes a second, too.
