      Thumbs down Husqvana Viking SE

My machine is still in need of a visit to the specialist : it does not want to embroider with the largest hoop (360 cm/150) blocked and ringing a funny noise ... and alarm on "check the upper thread" ... for nothing apparently !

Has anyone of you encountered similar pbs with a HV SE ? I would really like to know !

I bought it 12 months ago and am starting to have "some" regrets !!! So tomorrow early trip to Marseille to have it checked and fixed i.e. 240 km trip !

The good news is that the sun is shining again !!

I do hope that they'll be finally able to fix whatever is wrong with your machine! Take care driving!

Yes, they better have to ... I would be so sad to miss my machine gone for a long delay repair !!

But Marseille is a nice city and as the weather seems to be normal, i.e. bright sunshine, it will be less unpleasant !

I would love to be able to say I spent all my money in Paris................ Ha ha.
I hope that your machine has no real problems and that they are able to fix it on the spot. It would be bad not to be able to have a machine available.

I have the Designer SE and I also have the check upper thread , Usually when I first turn on. It happens up to three times and then does not happen again. I have never had any issues with using any of the hoops. I hope the repair is not too expensive. Please let me know what they say about the thread error message.

Well, I had to leave it ! I understood that the pb is not easy to solve and as I have already brought it back 4 times since I bought it last January 2008 ... they should do what's necessary so that it works properly ... for the price it is sold and all the promises of all the wonderful it is supposed to make !!!

If you want to spend your money, next year fly over to Paris, we could make a DBS group and visit the "Aiguille en fête" with me ! Hey !!! good idea ??? I'm awaiting my sister's pictures (she is waiting her son for help ...and he is actually skiing in the alpes until the end of the week !) to add an album dedicated to this show !

So tonight, either cpu activity or knitting ... or may be both and run every hour to get the new freebee ... what a life !!

      A +

Anne Marie, tks for your kind message ... I'm wondering about the "bronze" signification I do not get right ??? Help !!

I had to leave it. The pb seems to be harder than foreseen ! So, tonight I should go back to knitting or reading or tv watching - no on fridays, tv is poor !!! I do not watch tv much. I prefer reading, when I'm not hooked on my ltop with this forum !!!

You're right ! I have to get my nails on sthing positive ! I had to leave my machine (snifffff) as it needs a thorough attention from the retailer/repair shop. As it is under warranty, it's ok with my purse ! I probably will not get it before a couple of weeks, but (positive again) the grandkids are arriving on sunday for the week and I will need all my concentration on their activities ! but they will be disappointed as I embroider & sew a little "doudou" pillow every time they show up. And, for tonight, try to fish the DBS freebees as I have missed quite a lot of them today AND resume the left knitting ! You see, I still will not lack of activity !

We say in French "à toute chose, malheur est bon" roughly the back side of the medal is not always bad (personnal interpretation .... )

Martine, as the machine is under warranty still and the problem could not be fixed three times and you had to bring her to repair again, you should ask for a replacement, a completely new one! Your chances should not be too bad ...

I'm not absolutely sure about this, but I'd interprete this expression as petite monnaie.

I thought about this ... and next time I collect it, I'll tell the supplier that if it happens again, I'll claim for a full replacement. I hate fighting, and even if I thought I was a good customer, they have better ones who change their machines like others mobile phones ... so ... j'irai sur la pointe des pieds ... pour sauvegarder mes bonnes relations avec eux, car on ne sait jamais ... je pourrais avoir besoin d'eux encore et encore et en plus ils sont très sympathiques !!!
