Not sure that I understand the question but embroidery machine's are a matter of brand preference and budget. what do you intend to do your machine? Home/personal or sew for others? What size designs would you primarily use; 4x4, 5x7 or larger because machines are basically preset and can not do larger designs. Lot to think about. Brother makes a nice machine, I personally have a Pfaff Creative 2.0. Huge price range out there. Just be sure to check out the various options and 'test drive' the machines at the dealer and then you can compare features. Happy sewing and collecting.

I have a Brother BabyLock Elure and I just love it. A lot of design stitches built into the machine. The embroidery part has some designs built in but you can downloand infinity. My machine uses 4x4 and 5x7 only. It does not make a bigger hoop. I can't imagine using anything bigger than 5x7 unless it is a table cloth.

I agree with Teddy M, test drive the machines to see how easy it is to put the embroidery addition on the machine, hooping, and embroidering.

Yes there is a big price range. Test drive machines and think about what you want machine for then talk to dealer about it. They can help make recommendations. I have a Janome and am very happy with it. It was not the lowest end of machines though.

Yes, it is a sickness when you collect designs and have no machine. I hope you have a solution to your problem in the works. That is, of course, if the problem is having no machine!!!

I seam to be a bit of a collector as well. For I do not have much time to do the embroidery I would like, but always seam to find some time to get the freebies. And enjoy looking at the new designs. I think I am getting addicted to this site. And enjoying it.

I can relate to this question - are the embroidery machines the things that are collecting dust in my sewing room - see to collect designs all the time too. LOL

I meant my reply to be funny, sorry!! I want to start on fsl( my first) I love all that goes on with this forum & site.I am fairly new with embroidery and computer, I float around and read alot. I really have not figured out all that's going on and how to navigatehere. All of you are great. thanks for listening

It is a huge sickness. for me I am glad that the embroidery machine is push button. I can set it and it goes by itself.
I can hear it from my pc and have learned the sounds of it stitching away. And that awful sound when I need to fix something. Don't they call this "seventh heaven"?

I have my machine sewing away while I'm on the computer. I do seem to get a little distracted at times, I just tried to post this message before I wrote it. The computer told me the message was too short. I now know the computer is not a mind reader, otherwise it woulod have written the message for me then posted it as I asked. Oh well you can't have everything!

So nice to read all the interesting comments. I love being able to go back to the 1rst post and re read all of the responses that followed. It makes me feel like we are all in the same room again. And sometimes it is even better the 2nd time around.

And being able to go back to the first post refreshes my mind about a particular thread - or let's me pick it up somewhere in the middle and I can catch up. Somedays I don't get a chance to check it at the ofice and only get to check a few of the threads at night. Bummer of course - lol. But on slow days at work - I love reading and keeping up with you guys. and they way the subject changes at the drop of a hat gets me laughing a lot. I'll be sitting there at work on my lunch hour and reading these things and I'll be laughing so hard I get tears in my eyes - and folks walk by and want to know what's going on. All I can is just keep laughing.

And why would machine embroiderers care about "vegan shopping and
bodybuilding supplements?" They must post everywhere they can find group. I agree that they must think we are stupid enought to click! WRONG! Cathy

I had a thought...It could be they make money every time someone clicks on the links and go to the page so they will post on forums and groups where there is a large number of members. Why else would they keep changing thei name but have the same links.
