I am currently using PE Design version 4..older, but I am using a friends to do her designs..not an easy program for me..i was using EOdesign when I worked with Elly..it was so easy..wish I couldl afford it, but not right now..guess I'll learn to work with PE design with the limitations and when I can afford a better software I will know what I'm doing????????? Maybe?????

i am using the embroidery magic2 . It is a basic software with a great text program and manual digitizing. You have to set each point manually. I have digitized a few things but as I said I am just learning what I like in someone elses designs. I think that is a good way to begin

I can't think of any one site but if you look on your embroidery machine . Check out your included fonts . There are symbols that are used as accent marks and on them you will find several with eyelets that can be used. Just a thought I used one from my machine awhile back.

Try this link to an eyelet used for a Christmas stocking . I'll look for more.

I downloaded an eyelet and small slits on this forum a week or so ago. Can't remember exactly where, but you could look around. I would look for you, but then I would probably not find this thread to give you the answer. I'm not exactly computer literate.

I had to look up Magic 2 on the net to find out which program it was and what it did. Price is decent! Seems to be a nice programs from what I could find out about it. Siobhan

Try Sew Forum. I believe someone there had button holes and someone else did some eyelets. Somewhere had an eyelet alphabet set not too long ago but alas, I can't remember who. I remember some but forget more. My brain must be full.

I've found something on the net, I'll read it and come back eventually. My software is very expensive but since I had the previous version, I got the new one for an attractive price (800 Euros instead of approx 1300 or so). But, all the same, I can use a lot of the "cut & paste" categories but degitizing is another question ! For the moment, I degitize a kind of red work on quilt blocks - you know the forms you draw with a compass -.

I've degitized quilt blocks with full colors but I would need hundreds of KM of thread, so ... useless !
My aim is to degitize my G.kids drawings and writing.

      Default Free Designs!

Hi Lesley: Nice name, I have a daughter named Lesley as well. You rarely see it spelt that way.

One place you can go to get free designs is: www.search4designs.com if you are looking for a certain design is this great place too look for them. From some of the threads, you can download a lot of freebies. If you sign up, for free you oare only allowed 3 seaches a day, if you pay the membership fees, they charge $14.99 per year. I am rarely in the need to seach for more than a few designs at a time. Check it out and at least see what you think of it.

      Unhappy Confession

My name is Pat and I'm an embroideraholic. I confess to collecting more designs every chance I get, as well as digitizing daily.
My friends want to know when I'm going to find time to sew out all the designs.
You're supposed to sew them, too?
      I'll never live long enough.

So that is where they got the name 'sick' ? I think it truly fits. It is an addiction and I have many. I have an addictive personality so it fits right in my life.

Right now I am downloading more the I sew, but a day will come when maybe I won't be able to download any more, just sew my hearts content out. So that is why I download them all if and when I can. Siobhan

I was trained not to turn down something free. I was also told not to waste anything. LOL... Isn't life great when you get something free, and wonderful when you do not waste anything to loose later. Siobhan

I was too..my folks don't waste anything and it would be so rude to be wasteful with all the talent out there..I collect and then have to use it all..It may take a lifetime, but with the FABRIC WILL it will not ever go to waste...Gotta Love IT.

I remember as a kid if I put something on my plate I ate it, no wasting food. And I have carried this thru out my life with most everything. I do on occasion spend money for fun which is hard for me because I see it as waste. I use everything I can. It also makes us hoarders. Not good when you have a hubby who wants to toss out when it's no good, or sell give it away if it's not being used. LOL.....

Both of my parents are "hoarders", I am and my husand comes from a family that is too..I know we have a lot of stuff that we could probably get rid of, but it is just too hard to decide, so we keep it and collect more.
