      Thank you for the encouragement. I am trying to make this something special for her as well as lift myself up too.

      We all need a leg up, we all need encouragement, from time to time. And it delights me to encourage others and then sit back and smile because they could do it. Like you can do it I know you can. Shari

      Don't forget, extra fabric and stuff provides extra insulation and helps keep your home warmer or cooler. We all have to do are part for the enviroment.

      I never thought of using materials for insulation. What a great idea. Wow, I use tiny pieces to stuff pin cushions etc. Shari

      You are obviously not as addicted to quilting as some of us Soibhan.

      Default quilt addiction

      I use the left over pieces for log cabin pin cushions, and log cabin baby quilts so that is why I never thought of using material for insulating walls in houses.

      I make lap quilts for the old age home in the area. So maybe your right I am not addicted to quilting as much as some. I don't spend 18 hours a day doing it. LOL But on the other hand it's better then not quilting at all

      Good Morning Wienerin. How are you today. Right now in Canada it is 8:18 a.m. in the morning been up since 6:40 a.m. I don't get on the net until around 7:30 a.m.

      Do you use pieces of material to insulate your home's wall and ceiling? Something I never thought of doing since insulation in my home is so thick. A wood stove keeps my entire home warm all winter. My house do to weather conditions of -60 degree's F has to be well insulated so cloth is not a necessary item for insulating. Shari

      I think it would be nice to have the time zone ("+/- x hours to GMT") of everybody displayed in the post header (below the line where it says "Location").

      Does GMT start at the same place as International Date Line? If I know what it is, can't I add it; I already have personalized text in my location field.

      GMT = Greenwich Mean Time
      time zones are defined by their +/- hours difference to GMT
