Thanks for the heads-up, Cutiepie. I'm sooooo excited for the barretts! Too bad I'll be teaching all next week, so I won't be the first to see them.![]()
That's true, Shawn is unpredictable as to when the new sets get posted. Maybe I'll get lucky.
I'm looking forward to the barretts also. There are also alot of good puppet ideas. I'm considering making the Old Mc Donald set for my school kids. I am sure they would enjoy them.
Here is the "working" list that I currently have for future puppet sets:
Fairy Princesses set
* Snow white
* Cinderella
* Frog Prince
* Rapunzel (with "fringe" hair?)
Big Bad Wolf" set
* Red riding hood
* 3 pigs
Nativity
Bible set (Adam and Eve, Noah, David and Goliath, Jonah and the Whale)
Colorful cute/funny faces
Fairytales set
* Goldilocks and 3 bears
* Billy Goats Gruff
* Hansel and Gretel
Wizard of Oz
Mother Goose set
* Cow Jumped over the Moon
* Jack Horner
* Jack-be-Nimble
* Jack Sprat and wife
* My son John
* Wee Willy Winky
* Peter Pumpkin-Eater
* Other nursery rhymes?
Numbers 0-9
Letters A-Z (possibly with suggested non-English letters?)
Old Lady who swallowed a Fly
The Family
Circus
Zoo
When I Grow Up (professions)
There have been so very many good suggestions offered, and unfortunately, there are some that I just don't feel confident enough to attempt the artwork for, or that I know would not be acceptable for some reason or other (Star Wars could be VERY fun, but is out of the question because of copyright, for example). But the above is a "cut and paste" of my actual working notebook (things can and will change!), so you have an idea of what I am considering.Hope you find it acceptable.
Wow Cutiepie - even if you only come up with a small fraction of that list it will be amazing!
I am really looking forward to seeing what you can manage - and I think that any of the sets are going to be really popular - with the need for Christmas Stocking presents looming ever nearer!
Thank you in advance!
A stocking filler, half of those will fill Santas Sack and weigh down the sleigh.
I first need to do Old Mcdonald set... I need to lock myself in my sewing room to get bits done lol
What a list, Cutiepie! These all sound wonderful! I especially love the idea of the Family set. Could be so versatile. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Nativity would be where I think you should start! Very timely and I could make hundreds and find a home for everyone! Please start with a Nativity Set of fingerpuppets!

If my daughter is a princess, that must mean I am Queen.
My older kids (teen and 20's) like ninjas vs pirates. I am sure many would not think
appropriate for little kids. I saw some cute Halloween finger puppets somewhere, so
what about Pilgrims and turkeys ? Christmas trees and reindeer and elves. Just
a thought. Thanks
How about making a family, a father, mother, brothers, sisters, grandmother etc.
Wow, these are cute. Any children's story that could be told with them would be adorable.. I like the idea of a Christmas set too like spowers said, tell the story of Rudolph or Frosty (do a sing-a-long show). Great ideas you have, Cutie Pie!
You do not have to infringe upon Disney; however you could create characters from "The Little Mermaid", "Cinderella" and other stories which kids are familiar but Disney stole from other authors and just aninimated the stories and added things to create more drama and special affects. So if you created your own intrepration of what you believe these characters represent then it is not an infringement, these authors have been gone now for centuries.

Then of course I would love to have some Bible stories for the kids during church.
Maybe the Nativity, you could do Noah's arc with two animals per finger, Moses in the basket, with those you might want to include the story rewritten on a child's level.
If you google "finger puppets" you can see what others have done

The other thing is you might want to take a poll to find out if people would rather have the finger puppet that goes around your finger or the finger puppets with two holes for you to place your fingers (your fingers become the legs). Of just create one of each and see which sells.

I would love some finger puppets that have each of the Military on them. My grandson would really like those. You know like an army, navy, coast guard, Marine (for Angi), air force both male and female. I have some from another site but they will take a long time to stitch. Would be gr8t to have some that are quicker to sew. HUGZ

i love the zoo animal idea as well african animals i work with The Okala Foundation in Cameroon and i would definitley make the animal finger puppets to send to the children.
any people occupations etc would also be great
I would love anything (including fingerpuppets) in wizard of Oz, Oz is now in free domain -- not the movie necessarily, but the actual stories. The characters are a bit different than the movie. Dorothy doesn't where red shoes, but silver and there are more characters. We read the whole original series when my dd was 7. I think it is some kind of Oz anniversary this year.
