Usually a swap mom organizes all the names & addresses sent to her & returns one back to you so you only need to make 1 item. I would love to see a pillowcase swap where you'd send 1 pair of cases embroidered any way you like. I did one once & the person I sent to had posted about her small children, so I made toy/laundry bags from pillowcases & she loved them we still keep in touch today. hopefully someone will start a swap...have a great day! Yes, I'm in the process of organizing the first group of 12 and will notify all who are in that group. Decided to do just one month per person. A month will be assigned to you, you make 12 and send the other 11 to the list. Will organize and forward the list to each participant. Thanks. Anne

Hello Anne, If you allow me, I have a humble suggestion: why wait a full year?
Why don't all on each 12 group make the swap the same month? Anyways each person will have to make 12 thingies to swap with the group in any given month. It will be much more fun to make it all at once..... Just my two cents.

I have to agree with klarina. A full year is a very long time. Are there many participants for the bookmarks?

I also agree. You have too many problems when you spread it out over a year. Some people don't want to finish their obligations and it causes problems.

Now that I've gone back and reread this I think that maybe I miss understood what you had written. What are we going to swap and how long are we going to have to make the items?

Klarina, That's a rather neat idea. I never did this before and am patterning it after a coaster swap I was in. That would be pretty nice to all do them at the same time and have a deadline date. What do you think? Thanks for that suggestion. Anne

I think that's a great idea. I read in the quild block swap post we have to send a self addressed stamped enveloppe to the person who's receiving all items from all the participants. That's a bit hard living abroad...........how do we do that? Any ideas?

In the swaps that I have joined, everyone is given a swap mate and you send to them, and they send back to you or
Everyone is given the name and address of whom they are to send to.
