I wish someone could tell me why some people want to be criminals.

They might have meant Embroidery.com
Thanks for the warning
I keep away from the sites that offer many free designs in only an hour
Thanks for the warning. I like to steer clear of sites that harvest your email to sell to spam sites.
Thanks for the warning Cutiepie.
Just read the warnings here and want to say thankyou for posting them. Much appreciated when it can keep us from spammers!
I have seen the term "grouply" mentioned here and in some yahoo groups. Can anyone tell me what grouply is? Sounds like something else to avoid.
I think it is associated with Yahoo. When I tried to sign up for an embroidery group on Yahoo Groups it somehow popped up. It sends everything you have signed up for to other people who then send e-mails to the people in those groups. I'm not sure exactly what it is or how it works because I sent a nasty e-mail and told them to get me out of it which thankfully they did. But the one embroidery group banned me because they got a message from grouply. I just have been much more careful about signing up with anything.
Thanks for the explanation. I knew it must be something bad and I'll watch out for that.
Thanks for the warning. One can never be too carefull today!
Thanks for the warning
"Grouply" harvest email addresses. From what I understand from all the groups I;m in it is a nasty program. It sends emails to people in your address book that are supposed to have come from you. Once they respond, it can then harvest all the emails in that persons address book. If you see Grouply then stay away and don't click on anything!!!!
thanks I will stay away from anything with "grouply"n it
I very often get spam emails that purport to come from my own email address - does anyony know if this can be avoided? I can't report them to anyone as I only have my own address in the 'from' box. I hope that the trick is to use the recipient's addy, because I would hate to think that anyone else was getting these usually unsavoury spams and thinking they were from me!
Those grouply emails are annoying to say the least.
Cutie Pie Thank you I for one have fallen prey to these spamers and it is astounding the amount of junk i recieve, blocking them does not help as they have hundreds of names. They send in a different way so you can not use a filter. I has taken me over a year and still not all have been stopped.
