Thanny51, I am sorry that you found Wienerin's response to be rude. Please understand that she is not a native English-speaker/writer, so things may not always translate as intended. This is actually true of all communication on the computer, since you can't see facial expressions or hear tones of voice.
I know for a certainty that Wienerin did not intend to be rude at all. She is very kind and does her best to help out anyone she can.
While it is true that not all of the designs here on Designs by SiCK are labled completely accurately (as you noted, not all redwork designs are so noted in their titles), a concerted effort has been made by the digitizers and the support staff to assure that anything that is FSL is labled as such. So, if it doesn't say that it is FSL, you would be safe to assume that it is not.
I too am sorry that you wasted your expensive metallic thread. That is very discouraging indeed. However, if you aren't completely ready to give up on those designs, you can stitch them on sheer fabric (like organza) and then trim the fabric close to the stitching to give a similar appearance to FSL. Good luck, and I hope that you will share some of your successful projects with the rest of us.
