Be warned when clicking on ads from the forums, especially those put up by Google. They might be perfectly fine, but some have been found to be SPAM TRAPS!

One in particular, FreeEmbroideryLibrary.org, is especially bad. They require your email address, and the junk that you get from their advertisers doesn't have an opt-out feature (in most cases). And the worst part of it all is that the designs that are offered for "free" on that site aren't even machine embroidery patterns, like our members would be looking for. They are only hand embroidery patterns.

And once again, remember to be cautious about giving out your email address to anyone. Some sites pledge not to spam you or sell any email addresses to spammers (and this is the case with Designs By Sick, so your info is safe with us) but there are some who are less ethical and they will sell you out quicker than you can complete a form. Please be safe out there on the "information superhighway". We don't want any friends to become "road kill".

I agree, just like the people that invent virus, don't these people have better ways of spending their time? I know I sure do. and I really hate taking my computer in to be fixed because of these inconsiderate spammers and virus makers....

Not only that . there is a person using many different names but have about 3 sites of nothing but freebies that some people have complained of picking up viruses from those sites. When someone email them they don't mail back.

Cutiepie thanks for the warning! I seem tohave had so many invites to jion Grouply toaday which I have just deleted. Can't we just enjoy our embriodery instead of having to worry about bugs and viruses that could wipe out our computers. My anti virus seeems to be working overtime at the moment.ANDYMOR.
