OOOH Michigan, I feel for you. At one time I lived in Detroit and I know how you feel. I know how long the winters can last in Mi. How about you stitch out some spring designs to make you feel like spring is just around the corner.

With winter that is. Yes, I know it is only Janurary, but we have had record snows & cold! I CAN'T WAIT TILL SPRING!!!!!!!!! Sorry, for yelling, just tired of this already.

I think you have a right to feel that way (about winter). But if you can send a few of your storms to California, we could certainly use some rain!
OH, lovely California. We went there a couple yaers ago. San Fran area & took the scenic highway up the coast. Beautiful.
I love winter! the snow is so pretty and turns everything into a winter wonderland. It is better than days of rain which makes nothing but mud!![]()
I like to look at it that winter is almost over. We have been having freezing fog and the fog is so thick that last night i had to go 10 mph because I could not see. I even slowed to 5mph is some spots.
Yuck, freezing fog! Must make for fun driving.
I have had a large flock of robins eating the remaining berries from the mountain ash tree since Saturday. Does this mean that the Inland Northwest will have an early spring? It hasn't been above freezing for about a week now. The trees have been coated with frozen fog for quite some time and the sun has been hidden... Can't wait for spring.
Yeah, so why does the sun like to dissapear so much in the winter? Just when we need it the most.
I don't know , but it seems like a lot of us are having cabin fever. We must need to stitch out some spring designs and wish real hard.LOL

Yeap, time to get out the floral designs, Easter & summertime too.
I would like to see a snowy winter.
We have frost here.
At present the day temps are 40deg cent. which is approx 102 f.and the nights aren't much cooler.

I would send some to you, but I think it might melt on the way. I forget that some folks don't get snow or very little. I lived here all my life, and well, tired of walking, driving & shoveling it.
Sandi, I can feel for you having lived all over. If you want you could come stay with me in California. The good news is we no longer have 80+ degree weather but we are getting some rain drops. Just enough to dirty up the clean cars! Of course they just got washed on Monday.

It's a shame we can't trade some of our long HOT summers here ( near Houston ) for some of your snow. We actually had some snow here last month. I loved it, but we only get a little with lots of years between.
I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't want the hurricanes though - we're still cleaning up after Ike.
Here in the desert, we'd kill for snow, rain, even fog. We're in the middle of a La Nina (I think, never can remember whether she means dry or wet, but I think it's dry) winter. Some parts of the state are at less than 50% of "normal" rainfall. Nowhere is at "normal", although some places are pretty close, in the northern mountains. This week, temps have been in the high 50s and low 60s, with a few 70s thrown in, on the east edge of the state. Weatherman says by Monday next we'll be in the low 50s, maybe even high 40s for our daytime highs. The shirtsleeve winter is OK, but I'd like a more traditional winter for once so I can wear the sweaters I spent months knitting!

Okay, so I take it too much of any kind of weather in annoying. Except for maybe summer.
Scale me!!!!!
You know I always say... "Snow is like a man, looks good until you have to live with it!"
Just think there is only 1 month, 22 days, 1 hour and 49 minutes until Spring!!
