When a wish is in the votefor format instead of the votedesigns format, it makes it more work to cut and paste it to the wishlist, not to mention it's very inconsiderate. It also doesn't make this volunteer want to help by posting the correct format to the list, either, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
The votefor format makes anyone who clicked on it automatically vote for that design. That's very inconsiderate, since most people want to take a look themselves before casting their votes.
Mistakes do happen, and that is why I'm posting the how to information link and explanation.

This post is specificially about #3 in that step-by-step how-to.
When I see links in the votefor format that have no warning for the unsuspecting, I strongly tend to want to warn people they will loose a vote if they click on it. If they want to use a vote on it, that's fine. But if they clicked not knowing the outcome then it's not fair to them. Everyone has three votes per day and those are their votes to cast as they wish.
When you post your voting request, think about this: How would you feel if roles were reversed and someone "tricked" you into casting a vote when what all you wanted to do was to simply look at what it was they were supposedly asking you to vote for - and then being allowed to make up your mind as to whether or not to caste your vote? Most people wouldn't feel very good about that. They'd probably feel confused, cheated.
The polite and proper format is stated in How to Make a Wish in cut and paste format - specifically stated in #3.
I hope everyone will be polite and kind to others and use the votedesigns format. If the method is too confusing, then please ask. Someone will be happy to help.
This is a nice place with nice people. It takes each of us to do our part to keep it that way.

Smile; it increases your face value and it makes people wonder what you've been up to.
