I'm still compiling my list! (one or two of my choices have come up as freebies since I started it, freeing up more points to use!)![]()
I am, still spending points!

Isn;t it a terrible thing to have to "buy" things when you weren't planning on it.<insert sarcasm> And not having to spend any money doing it is so much more fun. Makes me want to make sure I get something that I will use often so that everytime I look at it I can think "This was a gift from Shawn". Shawn is such a nice and generous man I hope that someday I get to meet him and tell him how much I appreciate everything he has done for the machine embroiderers of the world!
I have four more points to spend. I am waiting for the hourly design I want to come around.
Life is too short even on the longest days.
I am a bit disappointed with the classifying of the designs. Lately, there only seems to be two good classifications and the rest all are thrown into the Not A ___________. This makes it very difficult when I look at a Geisha bookmark and I try to put in bookmark, Oriental, Japaneese or some other thing that might lead me to the clue for the hunt. I am just using this as an example, because I do not find Not an animal (actually we are not rocks), very helpful and only Project and Woman as a clue, that limits the choices and also puts a heavier burden on these categories. I would like to see some real thinking in putting in classifications...... Used to be a lot easier to locate something in the past, but I do not think this is much help to the rest of us who need to locate something.

Thank you very much!
Just exactly how do you go about categorizing a design - I too think some of them are not sufficiently described.
Categorizing is only available to the first ten people who spot a new set of designs, and so it is up to the majority of them to decide how each design ends up - each of the 5 sections of the categorizing needs an answer, and so very often 'not an animal' 'not seasonal' and 'not an event' needs to be ticked. It is usually only one description in each category that wins out, so it is not sensible to select more than one per section.
When you spot a new set click on the 'vote for a design' on the righthand side of the set. This will open the page with each of the designs pictured, and under each there will be a place to click to get to the categorizing page. (but usually you will see 'We already had 10 people send categories for this' - which means you are too late! )
Even if you do get to the categorizing page and click a choice from each section, you may still miss out, because the person who got to the 'send' button a fraction before you could have been number 10!
Good luck![]()

Just earned my SiCK point for the day at Embroidery Top and noticed that DBS has reached 30,000+ hits! Congrats Shawn for such an excellent site.
Never give up, never surrender.
I too would like to say Thank you Shawn for giving us points to earn. It is such fun to work hard to "save" for just the right design... Don't get me wrong, I love the freebies too but the points are 'fun' and there's little enough of that left in my life! I really would like it though if someone could do a better job of categorizing your designs...not just for the purpose of the hunt but also when i'm looking for just that right design to spend my points on it would really be helpful. Maybe you could ask your top points earners of all time to spend a couple hours "fixing" categories? or have a lottery of some kind and the winner(s) get to fix them... something, just a suggestion. but I'll end by saying THANKS again for all you do for us!!!!!
