I agree with grannyof9. It is my understanding that points will be given after the entire process has ended and all designs have been categorized.

What do you do if one of the designs can not be catagorized? I got this message for one of them -"That design does not exist"

OH, yeah, and one more question. Isn't it kinda hard to find the little dragons in the "lacy" quilt squares when the file is named "Lacy DINO quilt squares"? Is that the little guy's name? I was under the impression that dino was short for dinosaur.

Ok. I don't think your instructions are that clear as I just ended up voting for what I view as a JUNK design, one which is of such poor quality that I think it lowers the value of DBS. I thought I was going to get to a categorizing menu, that might help to show the design as a low quality. But, I guess I learned, I won't attempt to do any categorizing in the future.

Is it possible that people are thinking they are voting for the designs, somehow? I was under the impression that the catagorizing is just that. Suggesting catagories in which we might find the designs. I think that the word "vote" is what has some folks confused.

There are some glitches in the system, and shawn does know about some of them, but he has been busy. I would suggest that you post him a message in the categorizing thread.
the only voting is for the free daily design. the other is for categorizing.
they are separate links to click, so I am not sure where the confusion really is.

Which instructions do you not find clear? the ones about voting for the free daily design or the ones about categorizing? If we know the question, then we can help with the answer.

I think I finally got the catagorizing straight .Is this the order? Click on design sets, then when the pages come up, click on a page, then you pick a design set on that page by clicking vote for a design, then if any of the designs on that page say they need to be catagorized you click on" catagorize this design"( I'm going from memory so I might be a little off) . Then the different catagories come up and you choose which ones in each catagory describe the design the best according to yoour oppinion. Is this right? At least thats what I have been doing so please tell me if I'm wrong.Romans1212

What you described earlier, sounds exactly correct. Remember to look at each design and not the set. I am sure that you will do a great job.

I was catagorizing some designs in the Here Comes the Bride set and I figured it was sort of like red work but is it candlewicking? I thought candlewicking was a kind of stitches with sort of french knot along the stitches but I might be right. There seems like little dotd in the stitches so maybe its suspose to be candlewicking, but I might be wrong of what the decnique is.Romans1212

Romans 1212 - The candlewicking are designs that have little series of knots. In real candlewicking, it is French knots. In embroidered candlewicking, it is made by a little circle of stiches that crisscross each other. Look at the designs in this set as most of them have candlewick: http://www.designsbysick.com/buydesi...dlewickandmore

It sounds to me that you are doing well on the categorizing.
