      Default FSL problem!

Look at the right side of the coaster. Can anybody tell my why this happened? It happened several times I've used 3 layers of WSS, different types and still the same problem.

Where did the design come from? Did you pull on the wss when removing it from the coaster? I might be the design. Maybe the satin is not wide enough.

It's a SICK design: FSL floral blocks. It happened while the machine was still embroidering.

I am not sure without looking at the design in my software and I don't have those designs.

Write to the help and send the pic to them and they should be able to answer some questions about it.

I would think the designer and the sick team would want to know so it can be corrected.

So sorry for you! Do you use different WWS!
I personally don't like the WWs which look like plastic, i had have better FSl stitchouts with the one which lhas a similar textur like the other stabilizers!

I've used the plastic type for this one, I have another one which is even worse, I used the woven like type for that one. The satin stitches came off on two sides on that one.....

Did the stabilizer tear while stitching?

Yes it did, so maybe I should use kind of a see through fabric in between the layers of WSS?

How many pieces of stabilizer did you use? You might want to use more than one layer.

I've used 3 layers and on the sides 4. The first time I used 2 layers but that didn't go well!

I have that design, but have not tried it yet. I have had other FSL designs that did this because they did not have the proper underlayment or there was a gap in the edge near the satin stitching. I would be very interested in finding out what the problem is.

I have sometimes found when the stabilizer tear it may be a density issue.

I would use Vilene or another fabric type WSS. I also use a piece of shelf liner in my hoop when I do FSL. I hoop the shlef liner and cut out a window the size of the inside of the hoop and trim around the outside. I use this window and lay the WSS over the top and then put on my top hoop and tighten the screw until the WSS is taut.

There are various thicknesses of WSS. If yours is very thin, you might want to use up to 6 layers. or try to stitch it on organza and see what happens. Just try it without changing colours if you want. Just for a test.
If it does not stay together on organza, then it would be the pattern.
If you give me the file name I can see if I have it and check it out in software.

Try using one layer of vilene on the bottom and then layering pieces of left over vilene or wss over this(I like to use at Least 3 or 4 pieces over the whole area) and then top the loose pieces with another full sheet of vilene. Hoop all together. It may seem kind of lumpy, as you are layering various size pieces, but that does not matter as once you start stitching out the design it all flattens out under the design. I always keep pieces of leftover vilene and wss in plastic zippies handy to use as the filling between the two pieces of vilene that will be hooped for FSL projects. I prefer vilene to WSS(the clear kind) as it seems to work better for all FSL designs.
