points collected and its use

Hi,
I have been thinking about these points that we collect. I am wondering if we can use them as partial payment towards a yearly membership? I don't think that I can get enough points to pay the whole way but it would be nice to take the points earned and use it towards partial payments. Every thing helps! I do not have a membership but purchase many downloads and get them on CD. This is because I struggle with the computer. I am on Sick daily and sometimes many times a day. I was surprised that I still earned points. I only found out when I asked jokingly to buy a download with my points and I was told I had 30 points!!!! I obviously don't understand what's going on. Could you explain please?

It says on points page can not use points for membership or cd. You do get points when logged in and you download free design.
