      Batik fabric is the same as 100% cotton. I would use the same stabilizer as you do on cotton. I'm sure it depends on what design you are stitching on the fabric. If it is light stitching like red work a light stabelizer would be ok.
      However, if you are doing a filled design with a lot of stitches on top of each other, you would need a heavier stabelizer.

      If you are still unsure I would click on the link above 'the Stabelizer Guru' to get your answer faster and probably more acurate.
