      Default Embroidermodder

Has anyone heard of this program or using it and if so, what do you think. Here is a link to it.

the way I understand it is that you would still need to have another program to convert it from dst to pes, jef, or whatever, but that you can do a lot with it.

Deborah, but isn't 4D for your machine only?

Yes, I think so. Just know that I would die for 5D but sure can't afford that treasure. I am hoping it will drive the 4D extra price down so that I can get that one

Have you searched for 4D Extra on ebay, sometimes when people upgrade, they sell the old one & if you;re lucky you can get a good deal on them.

I still have 3D Studio. It's difficult to justify the expense of upgrading for the little bit of editing I do. My supplier didn't have any info yet on 5D on my last visit.

My 3D program converts to most home formats, Deborah, so should your 4D. The preferred user format is chosen during set-up and configuration.

Shastasmom, I just read through the stats on the link you provided and personally I think it will cause you a lot of frustration. I cannot imagine using Excel to edit an embroidery design, to name one.

Keep your fingers away from that one ... it's a very old attempt (from 2004 or so) to edit (old) embroidery formats. You have to have knowledge how to compile the program and about all the formats to change. I doubt anyone here will be happy with this application.

I don't know about this one, but before I would say don't touch it, I would try it out. You can always delete the program. The only thing you are waisting by doing this, if it doesn't work, is time.
