whitetiger, where are the photographs so that we can ooh and aah?
I just finished sewing out embroidered cards for the first and second time. The first one is on cardstock and the second one is on shiny photo paper. I used two layers of cutaway stabilizer under the hooped sticky paper. Both turned out great. Thanks for the idea and designs.![]()

We would love to see some pics, whitetiger, so we can share in the ooohs and aaawes.
Never give up, never surrender.
Rule #1...NEVER HIDE YOUR CAMERA FROM THE GRANDKIDS.
When I locate it I'll send some pics.Next time they come down I'll have THEM look for it. Since they are better finding things they aren't supposed to get into.
My little grand niece loved to have her picture taken and take pictures of everyone with her mom's camera. So, for her birthday purchased her a child friendly camera of her own. It wasn't too expensive and was for mom as much as for her.
P.S. Does your printer scan?
Never give up, never surrender.
What about your mobile phone - does that have a camera?
The only time I've ever been successful in hiding something from my kids it took me 14 years to find it again. Now I just ask Granddaughter Kirney (9) who seems to know where everything in the world is located.

Sewing is just another way to show your love
Before I purchased a new camera for me and gave the old one to the kids I went to down load at Wal-Mart and found a ton of pictures that the kids took of each other and themselves. the youngest was getting into things she should not have and they were both in my room!! I printed those pictures and scrapbooked them! They about died because the youngest put on my bra and stuff it with socks, I proudly display my books. Hum... they were careful about the 'candid' moments after that. It was and still is precious to see the innocence and fun of a child![]()

I would love to see the photos of the cards. I have not made any before. Do you embroider on one side of the photo paper then fold or use the prefolded one?

Life is too short even on the longest days.
I embroider cards using a layer of mylar(from the Dollar Store) on a layer of handmade paper (it's soft) and a layer of light weight cutaway. Tear away the excess mylar and glue the design to cardstock.
