Default has anyone made a bargello quilt?

I have the pattern, and it says to flip flop sewing from one end to the other to prevent 'curling'.

I am really new....and am just curious how to go about this and still keep it from looking like the seam is 'bending'?

      Hi

I made a placemat setting using the bargello method. If you sew all of your strips together into "pairs" , then sew the pairs together but, sewing them from the opposite end of the strips.

The sewed panel of strips does look a little like it is curling, or vering over, but when you actually sew the tube and press, it appears to straighten it up. When your bargello strips are cut, they do not bend at all.

Hope you have fun making this, I did, and would love to see a pic when its done

I have to jackets to make using bargello. Bought the fabric two trips ago while in the States. i belong to a graphic group, we design computer graphics and one of the ladies uses this quilting method, she made a jacket and of course, she who can't even crawl regarding quilting had to jump in at the deep end and get the materials for two jackets, one for me and one for a friend
