Angel food cake with pineapple

My mother-in-law used to make this from scratch. Never used a cake mix or bought a cake for anything. She also had a wonderful topping using maraschino cherries.

My Mother was always one for making everything from scratch also, but when it came to Angel Food cake, she would buy the mix.

I used to take great pride in the fact that I never used a mix when I baked. Then one day I used a mix for something and realized it tasted great and was soooo much easier. That is especially true of the Angel Food cake. I may have missed this but what size pineapple does it use?

just a regular size can of crushed pineapple.

Yes you can make a cake like that but that cake isn't fat free. I posted the pineapple angel food cake because it was a fat free recipe. I have tons of cake recipes but they aren't fat free either.

And yes it will work.I make it in a loaf (bread pan) when I use it for strawberry shortcake.I like the smaller slices for brunch.
