Smile No Fat Angle Food Cake

This is the most simple cake to make. And yes, there is NO fat. Great for diets.

1 box Angle Food Cake mix
      1 can chopped pineapple

Mix both together with wire wisk until all powder is wet. Dump in angle food cake pan or any pan you have but only half full. If you have more batter left put it in another cake pan. Angel Food cakes rise very high.

Bake at degrees box tells you to for the amount of minutes the box says.

There are no other ingrediants. Do NOT add anything the cake mix says. Only use 1 can of pineapple.

      IT is very good

Sounds great. What size can of pineapple do you need to add?

My kind of recipe. I do like the sound of this one, I like to dump in ingredients, and not take too much time messing about measuring and weighing. Not sure if I can recall seeing angel food cake mix here in Australia though.

Sounds like my kind of cooking. I go to a stitch group every Tuesday evening and someone is always bringing a new desert. I think this is something even I could make to take. Put a little cool whip on top - mmm.

Cool Whip sounds great but remember this is Fat Free so when you buy the Cool whip get Fat Free. hehehe LOL

The size of can of pineapple is the regular fruit can size. I don't know how your sizes run but the can size I put in is around 15oz. I don't have a can at the house right now so I took the oz from another fruit can the same size.

Have fun with this easy cake.

We used unsweetened pineapple (in water), as Dianna's husband is diabetic.

I would be interested in the sweet potato cupcakes. We use lots of squash in our family's recipes and I always feel so "fulfilled" when I can bake with healthy ingredients.

I wonder if squash would work in your sweet potato recipes? I know it does in our recipes, but sweet potatoes might be drier than squash, I don't know. My MIL gave me a recipe for pumpkin bars years ago which are delicious. I routinely substitute squash for the pumpkin in my pumpkin pie recipe-- and no one knows the difference.

We grow Mooregold squash which is a beautiful orange squash seed from Jung's seed company out of Randolph, Wisconsin.

Anyway, if Sue sees this, please do send the recipe. Or, if already sent, let me know where it's posted.

      Thanks a bunch.

I've been wondering how frozen strawberries would be in this cake? I have a bunch in the freezer that are locally grown. I'm thinking about thawing out some and trying it. And I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

I like finding recipes for sweets that are fat free. It allows you to cheat and still remain on your diet. You mentioned that you could do the same with chocolate cake mix and add cherry pie filling. Can you add the cherry to the Angel food cake?

I need some advise, I have made the angle food cake several times since I found this recipe, but the past two times I have tried to make it with blueberry pie filling and both times the angle food cake has fallen after I take it out of the oven to cool. What am I doing wrong??? Can someone help me???
