Let's see.....you're not sewing or anything like that are you?LOL
I finally got my machine back today. It has been gone since Christmas.
I found out it was ready yesterday, so I called around to find someone to go with me. No one could go with me until next week. I couldn't wait, so for the first time by myself I drove there, it took 2 1/2 hr. I was equipped with only mapquest directions.
I was a little nervous going without my DH or at least a friend to help. I hate going to a place I really don't know, but I couldn't wait until next week. I have company coming Tuesday, so I wouldn't get any sewing time because I would be busy getting ready for them.
Can you gess what I'm doing tonight?

Skipper great news, hope you are going to share your projects with us when they are done.
Enjoy Ria
Skipper - Congrats to you on getting your machine back. I think that I would have done the same thing relative to picking it up. I wouldn't be able to wait another minute. I'd guess that you might be sewing or embroidering tonight. You must have had a huge case of withdrawal. Good luck with your upcoming projects.

Good accomplishment to venture off on your own. Always worry when I make a trip alone then feel good that I could do it. Enjoy your sewing!
Hope you're sewing up a storm tonight. I'm the same when I have to drive over an hour or so. That's the one and only time I take the cell phone.
Happy you have your machine home and are having fun.
So glad you have your machine back, Skipper. It's been a long time without it. I would have done the same about going to get it! It didn't used to bother me to drive alone. I still like the solitude (I usually take a book on tape), but I'm like watermelon, if I have to go more than an hour or two, I'm more nervous now than I used to be. (I rode down south 5 hours with DD and her family instead of going by myself two weekends ago).
Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful creations soon!![]()
You have done great skipper! Driving all that way to get your machine. Now thats dedication.
Cant wait to see some of your projects you will be whipping up tonight!
Would have not waited either, my machine would have to come home. I got a new EM, when at lunch one day to get it had to drive about 60 miles round trip did it in a little over an hour, got back to work before being late lol.
Have fun

Ah, Skipper, the joy of having your baby back! Hope you got a lot of sewing done. Congrats on the drive. Isn't mapquest great? I use it all the time. I don't like to drive alone but sometimes I have to go to my dentist alone which is 3 1/2 hrs. away (I know very far for a dentist but he gives me a huge discount as a missionary's wife so is worth it.
so glad you are up and running again. The towel is super, my son is a chef and would love this

Thanks every one as Sona said I now feel complete. It was hard to be with out my baby. I just had to get my baby. Almost 3 months is just to long to be away from home. I couldn't wait any longer. I had been going so crazy that my DH almost bought me another machine.
sharong the chief towel topper is from embroidery library. They have a lot of fun towel topper.
Skipper -
Great job with your towel. And what a wonderful housewarming gift. Your friend will be so pleased.
I forget the details on your machine. Why was it in the shop for so long? Was this the store where the hubby does the repairs in his spare time?
