Hi there
My name's Shihaya (OK, obviously not my real one

) and I'm fairly new to machine embroidery since I've just bought my first embroidery machine.
I always enjoyed having and making unusual things, especially for my two girls and I'm looking forward to a **** lot of stiching.

Welcome to the forums Shihaya (motoandnutty is not my 'real' name either LOL - but I find it comfortable to wear on the net

)
There is a thread somewhere that has the explanations for some of our forum names - if you can find it you could add your 'reason why' as well.
I hope you'll share a bit more about your machine, and what sort of projects you are tackling, and how it's all working out.
Are your girls keen to join in with the embroidering? or are they just glad to see the results?
If you have any question, you will likely get a multitude of answers from a lot of members who have all 'been there and done that', and if you have any answers to share as well, I hope you will jump right in.
You will find a lot of friendship amongst these threads

Thanx for the warm welcome
I got myself a Brother Innov-is 1200, since my old ordinary sewing machine wasn't working propperly anymore and I always wanted one for embroidery.
I usually sew fantasy costumes with period inspriration. My current big project is an 1970's bustle gown.
My girls are 2 and a half years and 3 months old, so they're a bit young for joining, although the eldest one is keen on helping my to "clatter".

Well, I've only had it for about a week now, so I can't tell you much about it yet, but my first impression has been very positive. I love it

And since the model is going out of market, it came at a good price.
Now I'm going to spend the money I saved on the machine on threads and stuff
