Testing New Points Code - Commissions!

You can now earn commission points by referring others to the site. You get half of whatever someone purchases at the current moment. If someone you referred buys a $2.00 design set, you get a commission of 100 points. If someone signs up for a lifetime membership for $150.00 you will get 7500 points

Please note this is in test mode. No guarantees, but please post problems, errors, etc in the forum.

Please do not bug support for this as it is test.

Currently commission points cover: CD sales, single designs, design sets and memberships. Backing and software has not been integrated yet.

ok, I'm confused I think We collect points on purchases which is GREAT! I have a life time membership already (YEAH for me). What can I spend my points on? I would like to buy designs or a CD for my sis when she gets her embroidery machine, how would this work.

I am also confused. The questions everyone is asking is about if they buy designs and the way I read it is, If you refer a new person to DBS and they purchase something you get points. If this person buys a membership you get points. You don't get points if you yourself buy something. Am I understanding correctly?

Also I have a question. If I refer a new person but they don't buy anything for a while or buy a membership for 6 months to a year do we still get points? What is the time limit for the new person to purchase designs or membership in order to receive points. I'm sure it's not as long as they keep buying or keep their membership up. And that opens a new question if they buy a 6 month or 1 year and renew do we get points for that also? I guess that would tie into the time limit you set.

If you refer a new person to DBS and they purchase something you get points. If this person buys a membership you get points. You don't get points if you yourself buy something. Am I understanding correctly?

Yes, someone you referred buys something, you get points including memberships and CD's.

You can get points for yourself if you refer yourself by clicking your own referrer link before a purchase.

The referrer info is stored for 1 year as a cookie on the referred computer. Unless: they clear thier cookies or the referred person clicks another persons referring link. ie: the last referrering link wins the commission.

Same as above. One year or someone else takes for the referrer cookie or the cookie is destroyed. The one year count down restarts every time a person click a referring link.

I have a few friends in my quilt guild that embroider. Do they have to go to that web site, I forget the name at the moment, something like My face or Twitter to get our link or can they just go to DBS. From the message below our links are supposed to be in points. I haven't looked yet, but I think that would be a big list. I'm going to check it out.

I bought SiCK designs from E-Bay one time only because I realized real fast that a life time membership was far better and less exspensive in the long run! E-Bay is where I found SiCK and have been here the last 13 months!!
