I must admit I am also an addict. Instead of looking at the game (I live in New Orleans) I am thinking about what to embroider next...Maybe a fleur de lis design on something else.
I was downloading some designs the other day and my husband ask me "Do you need another design?" and I ask him "Do you need more ammo?". He didn't have much to say about that. I don't bother him about his "addictions" and he doesn't bother me about mine (Most of the time that is)

Ok I admit I am addicted. I'm addicted to machine embroidery, to sewing, now this quilting bug has hit me. And of course there is the addiction for fabric which unfortunately is a major underlying theme in all my addictions. I'm a fabricholic. I wen shopping for more fabric yesterday. and I was with two enablers. What can I say! My own sister and Naturechick. Of course I emabled Naturechick last weekend at theis very fabric shop. I had to go back and some of my own! What is a gal to do!!!!
Give thanks for enablers?

Sewing is just another way to show your love
I also am addicted to embroidery machine, but I am also breast, accountant, and wife, and I have little time to enjoy this addiction
My name is Gwen, and I am an addict...I don't want to be cured... I'm bragging.
Can't be cured unless you want to!
Life is too short even on the longest days.
I agree with everyone. I hate the time now to clean, cook, do washing, have nine months of ironing to do will get done at some stage. I would love to get all my sewing, embroidering quilting done and the days seem to fly by. I think I am an addict as well. First thing MUST BE IN THE MORNING IS TURN ON THE COMPUTER AND SEEK OUT THE FREEBIES FROM SEVERAL SITES, TAKES ABOUT HALF AN HOUR. Cheers Shirley
Okay, I really didn't think I was addicted until I went on the EAI website. When I answered yes to more than 6 of the symptoms then yes, I had to admit that I AM an addict. I even followed their suggested "cure." NOW I feel FREE, FREE, FREE !(free to embroider that is).
Quick message wallerubw, have to get going. I am embroidering a tablecloth for easter, and haven't even started this morning yet. I don't know where the time goes. Cheers
What is the EAI website Is that a part of Designs by Sick
Hi hm928 I don't know what an EAI website is as I am only a member as well. Cheers
The EAI website is not part of DBS. Gain powerful insights into your embroidery addiction here:

Hi everyone ...... Some are guilty only joking. I needed a fix after reading the FAI newsletter so I have just purchased a mug and tote bag for the cure of addicts of embroidery after reading all of your threads. Thank you everybody. It has now cost me the price of Australian money $47. Do you think this may help. Hee hee, someone please answer this and convince me I am cured. I don't think so hee hee. Cheers Shirley
This addiction is incurable. Everyone here knows that and we're thrilled to be addicted. Fabrics, threads, designs, project ~ you name it, we love it! There is only one answer: ENJOY IT!![]()

Hi debbsie,
Definitely addictive. I should be getting our dinner, it is 5.30 p.m. Tuesday evening here in Brisbane Queensland Australia, and here I am still on the internet looking for designs. I will have to stop at some stage. Have a lovely evening or day. Cheers Shirley
There is no cure for the creative personality! Let it take you!

I agree, there is no cure. So, just roll with the flow and enjoy. The addiction doesn't make us unhealthy----just a little poorer. But, happy in our own little world.
