Just don't eat or sleep so often works wonders for the stitching projects just not so good for you if you like sleep and food. I am not fond of either too much to sew.
Someone asked for a store to buy more hours for her day. I just want to find a day stretcher, if any knows of any stores that carry that, it would solve all our (not enough time) problems.![]()

Let me be the first to know if you find that day stretcher. I would also like to find more energy to keep up with everything.
So many designs, not enough time. I think we need 8 days to a week. On the 8th day I will then have time to sew.
I have the same problem. I have so many designs but I keep thinking I need more becasue it may be just the one I need next time. Of course I have collected more than I will ever sew it but isn't the fun in collecting?
I am so happy that I have them cataloged, that way if I ever get a request maybe I will be able to find what I need.
collecting designs takes up much less space than all my friends collections of frogs, dolls, etc all i need is my pc and a frequently updated back up dics
Just started embroidering in April - boy am I addicted already. I buy lots of designs, get all the free ones I can, but don't know when I will use them all. I did recently use the dinosaurs and fairies from SICK on two of my granddaughters pants - front and back (back just up on the pocket). Came out good. Finally got a digital camera, but can't quite figure out how to use it. One of these days....
I thought Im the only one who has a "hobby" in collecting embroidery designs. Yes, I think 28 hours a day will be good for me?
It would have been so nice if our collections had any worth to it, like stamp collections, but unfortunately not. It doesn't stop me from collecting, though!
I have had to buy another external drive to keep my designs on. If I sewed day and night I would never sew them all. it is an addiction, but what an addiction. I am even considering turning some of my graphic art work into a designI am plotting how to squirrel away enough to nuy a programme
Love like there is no tomorrowLife upon the Earth is not a burden to be borne, but a joy to be learned and shared with others
Wow, Phillipa! Is that what you want to digitize - it is stunning!
I have two external hard drives and a 1TB drive. I want a helper that can fetch all the right colours and the right fabric for the design I want to do - I'll do the hooping and the embroidery myself and even with that, a lifetime is not enough LOL!
I agree! I buy sets that I have never even unzipped the files my DH asked why I needed another trilobyte portable hard drive. I just lauged & said the other one is full & need has nothing to do with it....I said it was the availability to have what I needed at the time I need it. I never told him I have enough to keep me busy for 4 lifetimes. we'lll keep that part a secret. I took 2 months just going through designs trying to name & file them all accordingly, & I still haven't even got part way through them. are we crazy or what? I love my toys & as long as God allows me to live I'll continue to play with them all! hugs to all you gals. Sue
I much prefer looking at my designs than go window-shopping LOL! I have been doing sorting since around July last year and am still only about halfway. I still find folders with designs that I forgot about, which is to be expected since I started collecting 4 years ago!
I worked at converting some designs today. Wow, do I have a lot to go.
I've been collecting since July 2004. Some designs I have on Disk and haven't uploaded them to the computer yet. Some hasn't been unzipped, but its so hard to pass up a good design.
A smile is a curve that straightens things out.

I have been at this since 2001 and I also cannot pass up a nice design. I have collections that I bought on disc with 3000 designs. I don't know when I am going to use them all, but I think that I will use my portfolio to print what is on the discs and file them with the disc. If I can get that done I may use some of them. I just got a request for gingerbread boy & girl and found about 150 of them on myt computer. I printed out 2 of each and she chose the ones she wanted. It would be easier if I just had a catalog of designs. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Janice
Let's face - half the fun is just collecting the sesigns. If we ever use them - who knows?? but I love knowing that they are there - just in case!!
