YES! The solution is to liveforever...
I know of no one who only has designs that have been used.
I seem to have time to acquire designs, but not enough time to stitch them out. When I get them I have good ideas and intensions of doing these ideas, but it seems that when I do have a few minutes either the idea illudes me or it is bigger then the time I have. Anyone out there have a solution?![]()

Never give up, never surrender.
I agree completely laCole.
I always have a very hard time to find a design to stitch out because I have so many.
Maybe the secret to a long life is having a library of designs to sew out one day. We may have discovered the cure for death. LOL

I really love the responses. I don't feel so bad about having a million designs. I do have them catagorized (well almost half of them). It will be easy to find them when I decide I have time to sew them.![]()
Wow - we are suppose to stitich them all out??? I thought the object was to see how many different ones we could collect - just in case someday we might need it.
I think collecting designs is an addiction in it's self.

And it gets worse as time goes on...you start downloading everything!
Talking about collecting designs, I just saw GREAT NOTIONS " DREAM DESIGNS " Happy Face Dogs Collection 1. OMG I feel in love with the designs and just had to have it. As you see I am a big dog nut.I am going to stitch them out , as soon as I find time . Hee Hee
I am addicted to collecting design there always seems to be more that you like or want......I just hope and pray my PC keeps going even though they are backed up I don't want to loose any of then.
You manage to collect sooooooooo many that it gets hard to find them quickly and spend more time looking for what you know you have.
I too am addicted to designs and like you have grand ideas but I do eventually make them up my way of remembering the ideas I have is to write them down when I buy a design and spend at least two days per week preparing and doing them. I also catalogue all my designs either by name or for the children so they are easy to find and then when I have used the designs the way I want I burn them to CD so if I have a melt down I have a copy and the cd is labled the same as the computer catalogue.
I am also like knittwo. I collect like crazy but hardly ever get time to sew much this year. My new year's resolution is to start sewing some of these designs out and use the blocks for kids/adult quilts for shelters. I may have to move an embroidery machine out to the living room and sew while we watch tv in the evening as opposed to sewing in my sewing room.![]()

I must also confess to this addiction. Don't know when I will find the time to stitch out everything.

I love new designs and download many. Not been doing much lately, as I have been sick but will soon be downloading like crazy.

I'm also addicted to ME, but haven been struggling heath-wise for about a year and a half. Some day we will all feel better and be able to get back to our addiction of downloading and stitching again.![]()
Just in case - yes, that is my enabling mantra for many things besides collecting embroidery designs. So many clothing patterns, so many quilt books, so many knitting magazines, so many hobby project ideas. My one saving grace for these large collections is that even though I know I can't possibly create, stitch, piece, or use all these resources I do make time to catalogue what I do have. I can, at least, put my hands on what I want when I get an inspiration!
Like everyone else I have more designs than I will ever be able to sew, but when I get an idea I usually have the design. I have made several quilts for my grandchildren with these, and hope in the new year I will feel like doing more.
