It sounds funny, but dish washing liquid is great for removing oily or greasy stains. I just put the dish liquid in like I would laundry soap and run the washer. Dish washing liquid is made to remove grease from dishes, but it works on clothes also!
I too have had problems with the bic permanent markers. I put the black on the edge of a paperdoll I did for my granddaugther to cover a small area. I then put some frey check where I had cut to close to the edge and the ink just bled all along the leg edge. I was upset and had just left the doll on the ironing board. My granddaughter saw it when she came over and picked it up and just loved it. She doesn't see the imperfection as I do. I totally understand your frustration, after putting so much work into something and then to have it ruined by using something that was suppose to be a help. Maybe write Bic and complain that it made a permanent mess. I just bought the bic because it was cheaper than the sharpie. Should have known better. Yvonne

I am so sorry about the mishap., It must be very frustrating to give a gift, or do some work for someone and have something like that happen.
