They are pretty. I wish they had a loop for hanging them though. Then I could put them on my Christmas tree!

Most FSL is 'open' and you can make a loop by using matching thread or fishing line. Works like a charm. Or there is a freebie on Cute site in the Designs by Cuties for a '0' to add to FSL designs that don't have loops. I haven't tried it yet but thinking about it when I stitch one of these.

Here's the loop in case you want to try it.

oh no I am sewing out one of the fsl Autumn angels right now and I can see two places where the satin stitch isn't catching the rest of the design hope it isn't in the design and it something I did wrong. It is the very first one in the set. Will take it to my regular sewing machine tomorrow and make the satin stitch wider where it isn't catching the design.

Dorie, just wondering how your angel turned out. I've been in touch with Cindy because autumnangel01,04, and 05 shut my PED Basic down due to errors. She's working on helping me and I've just emailed her the 3 corrupt files.

Watermelon, sorry I don't know how to put the quote from you in the post.
Today after I got back from the nursing center where my Mom is having therapy I did number 4 but this time I put it on some bridal chiffon didn't want to take the chance that it wasn't going to work. It looks like it didn't miss any stitchens and the satin stitches look they caught the edge. But on number 1 I just used the water soluble stuff two layers of the fabric kind and there were several edges that didn't do right so I put the thread that I used in my regular sewing machine and just added more stitches trying to copy the design enough to hold it together you can tell all the edges that I did but will just hide her in the center of the tree. Hope tomorrow to try another one without the chiffon stuff. I just love these angels and want them to turn out right to put them on cards for the holidays.

I'm sure you did great with your 'repair' Nobody will know it, but you. I bet it looks really pretty on the chiffon.
My set is PES format, and I have no idea what's going on with those three designs...sigh...I'm such a computer duh, but Cindy is a sweetheart to help solve the problem.

Here is a photo of the angels. Mine are also pes. The one on the right is the one I had trouble with it is number 1 angel. Just about everypart on the right side after the three tips of the wing had to be fixed with extra stitches all the way to her toes and a few going up the other side. On the number 4 angel it looked like it stitched out right but too dense to see the chiffon shimmer through it. This is such a pretty set.
Tndenim I think you will be able to put one of the metal Christmas ornament hooks through one of the little criss cross stitches.

Dorie you did a fabulous repair on angel0. They both look beautiful! I haven't heard back from Cindy since I emailed her the files of 01,04, and 05. I'll let you know the outcome, and either post it here or send you a PM.
I really appreciate your sharing your experience with stitching these.

Perhaps you could let everyone here on the forum know how things turn out with the Angels. It's too bad these are not stitching out right.

I wonder if anyone stitched out the one angel that was given as a free design?

Dorie is there a chance that your water soluble was slipping in the hoop while you were stitching - that could cause the stitches not to line up for the final satin stitching?

      Watermelon

Perhaps somehing happened when Cindy converted the files into the different formats.
Hope you get files from Cindy that won't shut down your machine or software!

Let us know as I am sure there are others that would like to purchase the designs and will want to know they stitch out okay before they buy them.

      Dorie
Perhaps you should let Cindy know the problems you had with the angels too so she can have alook at these while she is working on Watermelon's file problems.

      Just a thought!

Sorry my internet has been out.
Here's the latest on these angels. First Cindy is fabulous and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with the problems I was having. I just want y'all to know what a jewel she is.

Okay, the problem is 'not' with her designs in my case, but a glitch or something in my version of PED Basic. I emailed her the three designs that were shutting it down. 01,04,05. She checked and they were fine, but sent me all new files anyway. I download again and same thing happened to 'just those same three designs'. Every time I tried to 'preview' them, it shut down. However, I went ahead and was able to transfer those three to my card. Took it to my machine and stitched out autumnangel01. She looks beautiful and every stitch is perfect. So I named her 'Cindy'. tee hee I've not had a chance to stitch 04 and 05 yet, but my guess is they will be perfect, too.

Machines, software can sure be cranky some days, but in this case, the designs are fine, but my equipment is the problem, that ended up working after all. I'm computer challenged and have no idea why or how they work or don't, but I'm sure thankful others do.

      Watermelon

This is great news for you!
Glad you were able to load them to your machine card and that the first one stitched out great.
Others will appreciate hearing that the design stitch out nicely!

Perhaps Dories problem with the designs was her water soluble slipping in her hoop as she stitched.

Just got back from hospital so glad to hear that the design worked for others. I am coming and going so much when I do get machine time am in a hurry and had planned on trying her again as soon as I could. Will take more time hooping the stabilizer next time. Hopefully will be able to get to do the number one angel again soon as my Mom comes home Monday.

YOu could go to Michael's craft stores and buy the looping metal piece that you would use to attach a necklace, then string a piece of ribbon through it and tie it to the tree.
